dempsey2. This project is thousands of miles away from Queensland and anything else come to that. I think if anything, going forward, Altona will be aware of the problems with Linc and ensure that this is not an issue.

Read Northland Capital Partners's note on ALTONA ENERGY, out this morning, by visiting hxxps://www.research-tree.com/company/GB00B06GJT32
"More positive news for Altona Energy as this final tranche of funding from joint venture partner Sino-Aus means there is now A$6m in the joint venture company. These funds will be used to advance the Arckaringa UGC Coal Project with the planning of the drill programme now underway..."

The issue of contamination was brought up at the AGM with reference to the Linc case. George Sutherland said it wouldn’t be a problem as the process would take place at a depth of 600m and there would little chance of contamination reaching the surface. AUD$5.4m says ANR investors think there isn’t a future issue here.

Hallelujah! As pembury says, let's see what the timeline looks like and how many critical milestones there are. Fundamentally, ANR would not have received monies if the project could not deliver a handsome return on investment. As stated, the resource is in place - the technology is proven -- it's not as if ANR are a wildcat driller hoping to strike it lucky. Like many here, I've been invested in ANR longer than I care to remember so waiting several more years doesn't represent too much of a drama. Best of luck everyone.

I believe we are beginning to see genuine evidence of this project forming a basis upon which progress can start to make headway. The resource and technology is proven, if they can be brought together to form a profitable business, investors can expect to make some handsome returns on their money.

Would have thought the share price would have moved north on funding news. History playing a part in holding this back I believe.

cheeky. Lets hope our new investors do indeed see multiples of current share price Just wish I had taken the plunge @ .025 with a 10k punt. Would have helped with my breakeven point no end.

Would think we could see the shares in issue remain at current levels as funds now in place to move to next stage and going forward.

Read Northland's note on Altona Energy (ANR), out this morning, by visiting www.research-tree.com …
“Positive news for Altona Energy with a substantial financial commitment now received from its joint venture partner, Sino-Aus, and the balance of the funds expected before the end of the month. With A$4.6m now in the accounts of the joint venture entity, and an additional A$1.4m to follow shortly, the joint venture partners can now begin to advance the Arckaringa UGC Project…”;

Been the invested for 7 long years. Now happy to stay invested for another 7, by which time all long term holders should be rewarded handsomely for their patience, but not as much as new investors who will make a mint when the share price is many multiples of what it is today.

If the price of oil rises significant over the next 3 years, by that time the prospects for ANR could be even more positive.
