I know, its great isn't it M.T.Glass! A classic turnaround story in the making.

Old board gradually being cleared out, new management in with revised strategy. FD kitchen sinking figures. Presumably final write off (intangibles, etc) coming at end of review period.

Performance in-line with management expectations and new directors buying shares before the close period yet the share price keeps going down.

Watching for now but hoping you shorters can drive the share price even lower because if new management do a good job there is going to be some great money to be made on the upside.

Four directors quit. Three with immediate effect, another at the end of the month.

Hi,

There is a new ADVFN Wiki page for this company. It is pretty basic and needs expanding on. Anyone can edit it.

Apologies if this has been posted before.

Cheers,

Jon

-Against this backdrop, and taking into account any changes made to the business, the Board will also review financial reporting, forecasting, revenue recognition and the valuation of intangible assets currently shown in the Company's balance sheet.

Matthew Palmer - The CEO and other board members at Morse Holdings bought even more shares in cash terms at about 90p+ only for the shares to drop to 6p.

Directors purchases can be a red herring in some cases.

ukinvestor both have meaning but the purchases have more meaning if you look at who is buying, what position they hold, how much they are buying and who else is buying at the same time.

True sales are an indicator but purchases seem to have a better track record

Director sells are more meaningful than director buys imo

Sorry but the new board have bought a ton of shares ahead of announcing they were doing a review of the business.

Call me a sceptic but if you are going to buy shares you either do it after a review if you aren't sure what that review will produce or you do it before you have a review if you have a good idea that review will be positive.

The directors couldn't buy after they announced this review was taking place, they've clearly moved in ahead of announcing it.

Most directors look after their own interests imo. The old directors that sold ahead of a warning did and those buying ahead of a review are likely to be too imo.

Below is a Bluebelle post from last Jauary when he and I had a long debate with Yump about the last board and the Director sells that netted them a considerable amount not too long before a profit warning. It smelt at the time and the smell lingers on with the new board reaching for the air feshener once again.

'You're defending the indefensible. In a well run business which depends on a number of key contracts to meet forecasts given publicly by the Board, the Sales Director and the Chief Executive of a plc should be right on top of the situation. I can only conclude that you've never been a Board Director of a plc. The idea that this situation, as friendzarin rightly points out, could have developed, without the Board having an idea of what was going on, between the Director sells and the time of the announcement, is simply not credible IMHO. If it is the case, it raises serious questions about the management of the business.'

DJ Alterian: Company Review Not Investigating Option To Sell Business

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Alterian PLC (ALN.LN), which helps organizations to create experiences with their audience that create value and reinforce commitment to their brand, Friday provided an update on its detailed Company review following the arrival of its new CEO, Heath Davies, earlier this month, and added that the review is not investigating an option to sell the business.

MAIN FACTS:

-Having implemented a range of cost saving initiatives earlier in the year, the review will examine Alterian's positioning in its target markets to ensure it has the appropriate level of resources required both to achieve a leadership position and to create shareholder value.

-Against this backdrop, and taking into account any changes made to the business, the Board will also review financial reporting, forecasting, revenue recognition and the valuation of intangible assets currently shown in the Company's balance sheet.

-Company expects to complete the review in time for announcement at the interim results in November.

-As an initial step to better align the business, announced a change of year end from March 31 to December 31 which will allow the Company to measure the new business structure for a full accounting period, taking into account any changes in financial measurement and customer contracts.

-The new business plans will be formally measured from January 2012 and guidance on forecasts will be given in November.

-Shares closed Thursday at GBP0.7475 valuing the company at GBP46 million.

Bit of a mental reaction to the fact they are not looking to sell the business imo.

CEO has just been buying 300K shares @ 74p+. He seems to think the review will be good imo.

Why has a non-exec walked? But directors are buying.

Different signals here.

Are directors buying in attempt to prop up the share before another profits warning?

Or maybe is a MBO on the cards?

FT were speculating of whether this was another Torex or iSoft.

But I think those comparisons are a bit silly considering the debt of the other two.

Dunno, can't be in talks as directors are buying.

Interesting timing of the director buying tho - the last point at which they can buy before the closed period. Can't imagine the interims will disappoint if the directors are keen to buy here imo.

CR do you think one of the big guns might have their eye on Alterian.

Unica had quite a dip in revenues (I think 10-20%) and then IBM came in with a big offer.
