lasted 24 hours he gave himself up and is even out on parole = tea cup not a flagon, believe me life goes as normal the locals are happy to be in employment, the press in these situations make it sound far worse than what things are, the press.media.tv sometimes should be brought to court for inflaming situations imo...

It has certainly been one of the factors weighing on the share price - another one was the pipe/tank leak some months back which upset the locals and the third has been their high cost of production which is predicted to fall.

It is not possible to claim we have reached the end of any potential problem as the regime does not seem sufficiently stable. Any collapse or revolutionary change might see a breakdown of respect for the law even though the licence is legally 'valid'.

Australia has to some extent been willing to help stabilise administrations in this part of the world (i.e. to broker settlements and give strategic to support to those worthy of it). Hopefully, this makes a collapse into chaos within ALD's operating regions less likely.



Fiji has also experienced instability in the not very distant past. Unfortunately, currentOz relations with Fiji are not positive although their present government now seem to have a better grip.

perhaps turning in UK and maybe UK is lead market even though less volume here . This stock irritates me as I can not figure which is lead market most of the time and knowing that means good trading opportunities at times !

back to April 2010 shareprice when POG was under $1000 and we had one mine, now we have two mines producing double the amount of gold and with the POG at $1700

actually there is no double or triple bum but just a clear downtrend but now at support level and then at 110 if it does not hold .

can only see a double bottom at 135 level on UK chart but now in SOR territory in OZ !

i finally lost patience and cut my loss on remaining holding at 199 in oz in closing auction ! probably that is a buy signal !! OZ does appear to be lead market and I see the price hear now mirrors oz close after a brighter opening . good look to those still in but I will only try to trade it occasionally in future if an opportunity presents itself .

an attempted coup, monsoon rain, land slides (60 people died),
earthquakes, land owner disputes with the mine.
i sold up @ 158p,
maybe look to get back in @ 110p if everything quietens down

seems that OZ is lead market at present for ALD and leading it down again last night !

I think the price has been driven down over the past few sessions by the attempted coup in PNG.



Hopefully this has now been resolved and we should see a bounce on Monday. Continued uncertainty in the region is not helping matters, but I intend to buy more at this price as it is undervalued at the current price. If the company can get the production costs down to under a $1000 this year as they hope to, Allied are going to be throwing massive profits off in 2012-2013

With 78% of the 204 million shares held by 20 investors, when Allied achieve their targets, I see this rapidly moving to over £2.

All my opinion of course.

it is indeed Juju44 and only thing stopping me selling my remianing oz holding is that it is quite near chart support of 140 in UK. Gold price seems to have no affect on ALD sadly .

down in oz last night and about the only gold stock not up on back of bouyant gold price . Must be some bad news to come and insiders know about it although it is a low volume stock !

yes, it is a real "dog" and only edged up slightly today on back of big increase in gold price . I still a few in oz and regret it and looks like opening down in oz tonight !
