08/4/2011 14:15 | Yes j1nxed, Afferro now fully funding their share of all Putu expenses (prorata) The more I think of this unusual share split (which I am very in favour of), the more I think that the sellers should have been selling while they could. Now there is a void period where you are unable to sell Aureus. Maybe it is counterbalanced by people hanging on for the butterfly split thinking there would be immediate downside. Anyway, I think in 2 weeks' time we will get a truer market. Great time to pick up Afferro now. Our independence is doomed I am afraid.... - yum | yumyum
08/4/2011 13:54 | I just tried to buy some AFF, but my broker said there is no such ticker or name, but of course we are still AAAM ! so I done that trade instead. | dreggspicker
08/4/2011 13:43 | My mistake is that £33 just for AFF? I'll hold a bit longer then. The fact that both of these are ISAble do make them ideal candidates for building a decent position. Combined AFF & AUE are now my largest ISA holding but I do feel I will push these holdings higher if prices stay at or around these levels. I do plan to hold my AUE but it will be AFF that I add to first. | greenroom78
08/4/2011 13:42 | Good fun this - owner of advfn biggest faller today and a happy holder | nomunnofun
08/4/2011 13:42 | yes but they can raise extra cash to drill more in akon/ngoa if they don't haev to fund their share of the PFS (i reckon $10-15m for 38,5%) | j1nxed
08/4/2011 13:41 | GR78. I don't do fundies..... but basically, yes ☺. | horneblower
08/4/2011 13:39 | j1nxed - not sure on that but I think that none of Affrero's current budget is for Putu though obviously at some point they have to put more into the JV - sorry to be vague on this | longsight
08/4/2011 13:38 | Greenroom - no a 17x bagger on Affrero. But using Jennings's higher metric still possible to be 35x bagger. Depressing isn't it? | longsight
08/4/2011 13:35 | Longsight - so not £333 then. If upside is limited to a ten bagger like you say then I can see why people are selling ;) | greenroom78
08/4/2011 13:31 | Got mine 191.7 | pote
08/4/2011 13:30 | does anyone know if african aura have to partially fund the pfs for putu? in a previous link posted here one can read the following "Russian steel giant Severstal is pouring US$30 million into the project to earn a 61.5 per stake. In doing so it will also compile a pre-feasibility study that is expected to be completed at some point next year. " this makes it sound like severstal has to fund the PFS | j1nxed
08/4/2011 13:30 | I like this summary. | nomunnofun
08/4/2011 13:29 | bci42 - you are right! Apologies [from my calculator]. A mere £33 target on 150m issued shares. Still the Jennings valuation of US$1.50 a tonne wd still give £68 a share without dilution. In any case, I think there will be far more IO than 4bt at Nkout / Ngoa / Akon. Hopefully the £5bn m cap target will be shown to be too low. If they can hit £50bn m cap then my calculator will be shown to be right after all! This does exclude the AUE Gold co. | longsight
08/4/2011 13:28 | A FOK for 190p?-you must be joking! | hero2
08/4/2011 13:28 | HB, shame as I know you had a decent upside view on the charts. You hold on this one Fundies though not technicals don't you? | greenroom78
08/4/2011 13:24 | Got a FOK with TDW at 190p so here's hoping | soundbuy
08/4/2011 13:22 | I couldn't resist, only 1000 more at £1.90 but every little helps. If we see any more weakness early next week i might have to sell a kidney!! :) | kacker1
08/4/2011 13:20 | It's disastrous for charting. I don't know whether advfn will start two new charts or if they might continue AAF's on from AAAm's (which seems likely as it is only a namechange from their point of view). I wish they would make an adjustment to the AAAM history to bring it into line with the split but what ratio are they to use? I have to say that of all the ways this split could have been done I would never have thought of this weird way. C'est la vie. | horneblower
08/4/2011 13:17 | Fair enough.33 is fine by me anyway. | bcl42
08/4/2011 13:15 | bcl42 - whats a coupla noughts between friends!! | wiloughby2
08/4/2011 13:14 | HB - What do days like today (i.e. a split) do for charting predictions? | greenroom78
08/4/2011 13:13 | Your respect is still intact Hb but was the prediction for the 13th? | wiloughby2
08/4/2011 13:13 | Selftrade Bid Price GBX 188 Offer Price GBX 192 Maximum Size* 100 | pote
08/4/2011 13:11 | Who laughed when I suggested 195p yesterday? ☺☺☺ Willoughby2 go and stand in the corner. ☻ | horneblower
08/4/2011 13:09 | Is $5 billion divided by 150 million not 33.. 00 per share? | bcl42 |
