I thought on friday that it might be a spike sell off but it's definitely not.

I wouldnt be concerned that our FPSO will arrive after the jack-up. It will be there very soon and theres a fair bit of work to do with the rig and wellhead gear alone anyway, before they even start on the FPSO hook-up.

I think you may be getting yourself a little overexcited. Currently the Adriaic VI rig is in Gabon drilling the Admiral prospect which AFR have 12.86% share in. After that the rig will move to Okoro/Setu, Afren's flagship development. This together with the arrival of the FPSO, Armarda Perkasa are the two time critica events that dictate when prouction can start. My estimate is that we'll see first oil in March and then the targeted 15-20,000 bopd by June. All of the above is in the public domain so the Rigzone website detailing the location is no surprise, in fact I think it's a little premature, as I know that we only started drilling Xmas week.

Logica, JB commented to my post yesterday about the rigazone update, see posts 5706 and those after. Rigzone seems to have a habit of posting the drilling status earlier than actuality.

i think its there, but not actually drilling.... the status is as drilling, but it wouldnt state that its only just arived.

I think jack made a note about it.

Im more concerned about the armarda perkasa getting there !! the rig is th easy bit imho, its just geting the A PErkasa there..

i reckon the share price will rise towards production - might even go a bit crazy (lol) but will ease off once actual production is announced... THEN, the share price will rise thereon.

you know how it is, sp's rise in speculation, but go down on rns day..

Those of us who have been invested for a few years have known that AFREN'S operations begin in earnest this year. I think most of the regulars would support me in stating that this year could be the making of this company and even a move up to the main market is intended I understand.

Lot's of very positive things happening this year - potentially very big.

I'm not sure - there was some talk on here about it last week but I think it's early arrival is a surprise.

Leeson and Jack are the people to make it clear - I'm hopeless at detail and I'm far too idle to look.
