06/5/2014 08:39 | It's an 'add periodically on dips' type of thing for me. Divi growth is good. | 5bag
06/5/2014 08:20 | I would say as expected - very respectable results in a difficult environment for emerging markets. 12.5% increase in dividend is great, plus a reiteration of the potential for returning excess capital following the SWIP acquisition. Long-term hold for me, particularly with management's commitment to grow the dividend and return excess capital. That said you need to be able to stomach the inevitable volatility of this high beta share! | m1das_touch
06/5/2014 08:04 | Not sure there is much to drive the price either way in these results. Div increase good to see but fully expected. Still need those emerging markets to soar again. | its the oxman
06/5/2014 07:47 | Should see a steady climb, long term. Good results considering the EM market wobbles. The SWIP acquisition will start bearing fruit back end of year. Looks good IMO. | 5bag
06/5/2014 07:22 | Well, much as expected? Divi up to 6.75p......how will the share price react??? | rathlindri
02/5/2014 13:25 | Today ADN confirmed completion of the SWIP deal. ADN is trading at £4.42p today. 01/5/2014 19:05 | Interim results due 6th of this month Tuesday, expect a mark up tomorrow should go above the £4-50,I don't think our leader will fail to impress the shareholders. 2012 Interim Payment 4.40 2013 Interim Payment 6.00 2014 Interim Payment My Guess 7.00 Any improvement on the divi and an up beat statement will help to propel the share price, look forward to 7am Tuesday morning. | calvin1947
01/5/2014 09:50 | Dipped in at 436 last week. Looks a solid long term hold. | 5bag
29/4/2014 15:11 | Aberdeen seem to have huge positions in Astra Zeneca should bode well for the future results | rkkyy5

04/4/2014 15:27 | Late surge, great recovery this week, good weekend all | rathlindri
04/4/2014 12:58 | On the move again today, I'm holding 24K of ADN bought at £4-50 at the end of last year IO was in profit by about 10K then the emerging market collapse saw the 10K profit wiped out and a further 18K off the capital now only down 2.5 K as you say what a weak, but I have always had faith in the management been in and out of this stock since the £3 days, and made plenty of profit. I expect with the impending results and the upgrades, and improvement in the divi this may will see £5 again before £4 and the stock could well reach the dizzy heights of £6 by the end of 2015,I expect the emerging markets will be propelling this stock up to different levels than today, hold tight for the good days ahead. | calvin1947
04/4/2014 09:08 | With forward earnings projected of 39.3 p & 43.7p ADN are still v cheap IMHO.you can see a 50% uplift if these numbers are hit & the numbers for 2015 may well be light. | buffetteer
04/4/2014 08:58 | What a difference a week can make! With the uncertainty over the SWIP deal now out of the way and emerging markets recovering, this strong rebound could be the start of a sustained re-rating in the run up to the interims on 6 May. Glad to have kept the faith even though I was slightly underwater with my holding for a while. Now in profit again, but not tempted to sell as I think this is a great company and am hoping for another significant dividend increase (last year the dividend was increased by 39% and the CAGR over the last 5 years is 23%!) | m1das_touch
03/4/2014 17:32 | With the interim results due end of April this stock could have a nice run up in the next three weeks, I expect the dividend to be improved, and further upgrades through out the second half of the year, with improving signals coming from the emerging markets, and ADN getting to grips with SWIP, we could see a breach of last years close on the 31st of December of £5 Article from the Times - Tempus The outflow of funds from Aberdeen Asset Management (ADN) slowed in March to a trickle of just £200m. That is all well and good. However, what really got investors excited was the close of the acquisition of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (Swip). Since the business was founded it has acquired different asset and fund management units from peers such as RBS. In 1992, however, it carried out a transformational transaction with the opening of an office in Singapore as a part of its move into emerging markets. That decision, however, meant it was now heavily exposed to a shift in the Fed's stance and the impact that had on emerging markets. With the swip deal Aberdeen gains expertise in fixed income and specialist equities management and property. What is now Europe's largest listed fund manager has also signed a deal with Lloyds to manage some of its clients' money. Aberdeen is thus now a much more diversified outfit. Despite a greater than 200 per cent gain over the last five years the shares offer a yield of 4.3 per cent and "are still worth buying when the price is weak", The Times's Tempus wrote. | calvin1947
03/4/2014 10:38 | It would appear something of a rebound / breakout is underway, very welcome | rathlindri
02/4/2014 09:15 | Canaccord 460p target , down from 540p. | philo124
01/4/2014 16:34 | Today's trading update is working for ADN, taking the stock higher by 6% to £4.15p. Importantly Emerging markets are also making a comeback, so this could put ADN in a better good position than over the previous six months.
