richscotsman - that 645p target from G.Sachs was a 6 month target and it went on the 'conviction buy list' too.

The 3p premium was the fact that someone wanted to pay that to get 175K richscotsman. Suggests they were in a bit of a hurry to get that position and felt it worth paying up to get them imo, or why not just work the order?

9.3p eps in H2 last year APAD - that doesn't make the full year eps forecasts of 18.7p for this year a tough ask imo. Scope for happiness going forward imo.

I don't have to make any decisions just now as I don't have any free cash flow to invest however my view remains that this remains solid if the economy does well and perhaps better if it takes a downturn so happy to chill out and spend the most recent dividend cheque!

Had a look at one of those Ichimoku charts and it called the breakout on the 24 Nov. perfectly.

Not much of a fan, but I do use charts to look at the context of a trade.

I even bought it in my Mum's income portfolio, rich :-)
I can't see it getting much higher than a backwards PER of 27 until the interims in March are seen to deliver cash.
The 40 jobs on offer suggest that the cash is still going towards expanding the business organically.
Lot of dollar income, perhaps.
Interesting times, but I don't think I would increase at this price - 2nd largest holding now, so I can't anyway.
I'm surprised that the Tintins haven't tipped it for 2015 (Telegraph tipped TRCS - that put a rocket under this tiddler, so it has usurped ABC on the top stair).

An important point about ABC is that the more an antibody is used, the more knowledge about its properties builds, the more confident customers become, and the more valuable is the antibody.
So, the 5% increase in the number of products on offer over the last 6 months provides a gearing, over and above this increase in value of the older products,that, in their turn, also become older.
In my opinion this is a guaranteed route to gorilladom, so I never envisage selling ABCAM.

GS - buy note - they need to unload a sheldful - kiss of death. (Most recent example: Topps Tiles - chugging along nicely early this year, then GS upgrade, selling and price collapse).

That red line looks very arbitrarily drawn to me. Looks like it's a good sign that it will quickly come back down though.

I think it's more informative to note that they're now shipping a lot more, well up on the start of the year.
