18/8/2007 20:06 | Metcalf out of retirement? IS SNRP being tipped by any chance? LOL | giltspur
18/8/2007 17:32 | Monty - as far as we are aware, the Cornell line of credit is about to be taken out altogether by a placing. Whether one is swapping appalling for bad is hard to grasp. But it could be the end of the interminable drip, drip if the new holders have relatively "safe hands". | wdurham
18/8/2007 17:16 | It seems to me `Wanderlust` has wandered my way once before. ...and I'm not interested in SNRP either. | the sixpenny knight
18/8/2007 17:05 | Wendy, You seem to know as much as most re TDM. Is the Cornell line of stock out the way yet? I think the shares might spike a little when it is finished. | monty panesar
18/8/2007 16:30 | Nothing to do with 3DM. But as Wanderlust has raised the subject, it's worth reading what Metcalfe's ancient arch-enemy Charles Wyatt has to say.... And for the record, I already have a coal play, thankyou. | wdurham
18/8/2007 14:21 | TSK Suppose you'll be piling into SNRP now. Wendy also, no doubt. edit; That is Wendy piling into SNRP, not you piling into Wendy. Oh I don't know though. | wanderlust
18/8/2007 13:03 | But quality tripe Charty - unlike most here. The whole thread is tripe, you'll not have noticed tho. lol | mark30
18/8/2007 12:55 | I don't - i think he/they knew exactly what he/they were doing. In fact I'd put money on it. Wendy's piece is tripe from beginning to end. | giltspur
18/8/2007 09:37 | Wendy Durham, Excellent article. The company is a classic example of mis-management. Brooks is obviously the one who took takes the flak and probably rightly so. I do think the 2 guys in the States were feeding him porkies> | monty panesar
17/8/2007 21:12 | This is a long road, not a pavement. | the sixpenny knight
17/8/2007 20:19 | that's what i mean - it's better for my health not to ask. | giltspur
17/8/2007 20:00 | Why don't you ask it and make certain? (for those minds which are interested, I see failure as not achieving that which one set out to achieve, and gaining nothing along the way) | the sixpenny knight
17/8/2007 19:56 | I'm sure it wouldn't | giltspur
17/8/2007 19:24 | Giltspur - If you do not wish to know my definition of failure, then I won't tell you, although your mind probably wouldn't understand it anyway... | the sixpenny knight
17/8/2007 19:12 | I'm convinced that you are either blind, the most naive human being on earth or have been hypnotised by a tipster? God alone knows what your definition of failure is - don't tell me I can't stand the mental torment. I suppose you are still of the opine that Jery Metcalf will deliver up gold unto your lap? As I said, go back to your comics. | giltspur
17/8/2007 19:02 | Giltspur, "it" (meaning the process) has definitely NOT failed. No doubt you would like it to, but you are confusing your wishes with fact. | the sixpenny knight
17/8/2007 19:00 | TSK Go and read the Dandy again. | giltspur
17/8/2007 18:40 | Well said Wendy. There are many new technologies which have eventually succeeded, unfortunately many of them have not brought the financial rewards originally expected by the investors. Profitable enough in the long term, but not super-profitable in the short term. I'm not sure I can afford to wait. | the sixpenny knight
17/8/2007 18:32 | There are times when you lot here really make me sick. 3DM have technology that deserves to succeed. It really *IS* a better mousetrap. What's more, it does have the potential to handle several different kinds of nasty 'orrible waste from many sources without having to segregate, clean or separate it. It can turn all kinds of stuff into decent product at relatively low cost. There are hundreds of potential applications for a light-weight, strong plastic component to replace more traditional materials. This ranges from the much maligned scaffold boards to the encapsulation of at-risk low weight components in motor manufacture and the replacement of concrete sewer pipes. 3DM themselves have got everything wrong that it is humanly possible to get wrong. Marketing, sales, demonstration machines, financing (!) etc - all wrong. They have a (now) loose association in the USA with what is probably a bunch of crooks, although there is no actual hard and fast proof of this, and my statement is just my opinion. I do talk to the inventor, and to this day, none of his erstwhile associates have made good on the agreements made to recompense him for his development of the PIM process. There are lots of flies in the ointment. Many will be hard to get out of the mix. But at the end of the day, this is technology that DESERVES to succeed, and almost certainly WILL succeed, due to its various beneficial characteristics - eventually. It almost certainly won't be 3DM (or whatever they now plan to call themselves) that will supervise the success. I can't see them sustaining their business without cash flow for much longer, so someone will snap up the IP in the ultimate fire-sale. But I just despise the continual ridicule of the technology. Not the ridicule of 3DM - they deserve most of what gets chucked their way for having got something so good so spectacularly wrong. But those who spend half their lives trashing something that has so much valid potential, just because it hasn't yet proved its worth, are fools. 3DM are the culprits, not the PIM process. | wdurham
17/8/2007 18:25 | 'evening Biggles. lol | the sixpenny knight
17/8/2007 18:15 | gemstar LOL | giltspur
17/8/2007 16:45 | TKoN - 17 Aug'07 - 12:05 - 23220 of 23224 "The loos were the cleanest I have ever seen in any factory always a sign of good management!" Or, of course, and I have to say in this case more likely a sign of.............. corporate constipation !!! | bluebelle |
