31/1/2014 11:17 | There is no question that the value of this company lies in its patents regarding contactless transactions.I suspect they are taking legal advice with US patent lawyers who may take the case on a no win no fee basis as the rewards could be enormous. One can dream! 31/1/2014 10:57 | I like this bit, -------------------- The success of the trials is testament to the stability and robustness of the podifi technology, following a period of significant investment in its development. The Group is keen to protect the uniqueness of the technology and has a number of patents granted and patents pending. The Board believes these patents hold great value for the Group. This is especially relevant in the case of the podifi patents, which cover contactless transactions between a phone and a pod-like device. In light of recent technology developments, particularly in the US, the Board are currently taking advice on how best to monetise its patents. imho if you are not looking for a fast buck, this is one to tuck away. And one day a big fat cheque will land on the door mat. WJ. | w1ndjammer
24/1/2014 12:40 | I think its about time we had an update off the bod....... looks like they have a few strings in their bow. WJ. | w1ndjammer
31/12/2013 20:00 | The lying ramper rhubarbes ticker gave in some weeks after Plod came a'knocking, so for those of you poor blighters who lost it all on RGO, get yer claims in to his estate well before it clears probate | simon seif
16/12/2013 22:29 | 500k traded today which is interesting | jonno1
15/12/2013 16:14 | On 22/04/13 I posted " the value of this company lies in its patents". | ltinvestor
14/12/2013 20:32 | Imminent announcement sounds very promising. You say Rgo also tweeted '47% conversion'? 47% is a high conversion % in many respects and it must be noteworthy to mention, but does anyone know what that metric actually means here? | chartattack
14/12/2013 19:32 | Nothing strange LT , I actually registered and posted on the same day. I registered as soon as I'd done my research after seeing Apple's announcement of the launch of iBeacon at the weekend.I immediately recognised the similarities to rgo's Podifi. I'm still digging and asking for help and clarification because if I'm right I think they're onto a winner!!!My post was picked up on another forum, so you can see my further posts as you request, just look for- 'Recovery at 2ergo'There's been a few people contributing there, so please respond on that thread if you have anything to add. | chartattack
14/12/2013 16:18 | Strange Chartattack that you registered with Advfn on Dec 6 th and produce this post and detailed data re patents etc on Dec9 th.I believe that you are an insider to the company.I look forward to your further posts with interest!!! | ltinvestor
13/12/2013 11:27 | yes and they also say. " Big announcements coming soon ! stay tuned " looking through their past tweets, there is is certainly a change in their messaging style............... WJ. | w1ndjammer
13/12/2013 11:16 | they would say that wouldn't they | dontshootthemessenger
13/12/2013 10:45 | ChartAttack they are copies of two tweets, sent by 2ergo about podifi where they say they are working on very exiting projects. WJ. | w1ndjammer
13/12/2013 10:03 | WJ, whilst tech savvy, Twitter is something I've kept away from. But under the circumstance it's worth looking into. I didn't understand how your post was written? I'll speak with friends. Anyone out there who does understand Twitter enough to maximise coverage? | chartattack
13/12/2013 08:41 | ChartAttack I am not on twitter, but if you are it might be a good idea to post something like "the apple I-beacon looks very familiar" or something to that effect see what comes back. 2ergo @2ergo 6 Dec Our patented product @podifi is getting some great results with an average 47% conversion rate. #mobile #contactless #loyalty #podifi Expand Reply Retweet Favourite More Podifi @podifi 4 Dec We are working on some very exciting projects at the moment. Big announcements coming soon! Stay tuned. you could be onto something there. WJ. Retweeted by 2ergo Expand | w1ndjammer
12/12/2013 18:12 | I'm with you on that Stocko. Of course its rgo's job to challenge and they should by now be looking at it. The point is, Patents in the tech field; especially in mobile, can be extremely valuable and if they hold water people will then help to fund battles, because the rewards are so high. I'd just like to know how we could get to the bottom of whether Apple's iBeacon really does breach 2ergo's Podifi Patent before any company announcement? Having spent time looking at them both since the weekend I think Apple are breaching and 2ergo could be sat on a goldmine! Apple launch the service at the weekend, Helium Special Situations Fund significantly increase their shareholding on the Monday!!! Or is that just a co-incidence? | chartattack
12/12/2013 18:09 | >Prophet. Was told 12 months ago that the granting of the patent was very important insofar as the company could license and receive royalties. This has been confirmed to me so future developments could prove to be very interesting.dyor LT ps shame about the dilution!! | ltinvestor
12/12/2013 17:33 | You seem to misunderstand how patents work in the tech field. It would be rgo's job to challenge apple should they believe there is infringement See the interminable ongoing battle AMP are going through. | stockologist
12/12/2013 17:12 | You're so very wrong Stockologist; Billions are changing hands for Patent licensing in the smartphone space, and 2ergo have granted Patents. Apple's iBeacon is a massive play by Apple in the retail space, and it looks to me like they are breaching 2ergo's Patents, if so it should only be a matter of time before Apple enters discussions with 2ergo. If not as soon as it hits the press, 2ergo should have Patent trolls and Apple competitors beating at their door to buy the Patents or to fund such a huge licensing opportunity. | chartattack
12/12/2013 14:25 | Can someone tell me how this went from £1.60 to pennies. They use to provide messaging services, I assume that died of death. What are their patents and how would Apple be interested? | tradermania
12/12/2013 14:24 | No problems CASp action indicates the chances are low to non-existent, but perhaps that is just because others haven't spotted what you have.Annual results should be out soon, be interesting to hear what they have to say. | the prophet
12/12/2013 12:32 | My apologies Prophet, I didn't intend to sport with your feelings. I'm tech savvy enough to see that 2ergo's patent and Apples iBeacon are based on the same technology. For me its all about knowing the potential for licensing and what chance 2ergo would have in pulling a deal off with Apple? I think for someone with that type of experience, it would be worth wading through 2ergo's patents because the investment upside would be worth it for knowing that nugget. | chartattack
12/12/2013 12:26 | Hanging in there with you. | roily
12/12/2013 11:22 | I was thinking more along the lines of comparing the RGO offering to what Apple have got and asking for any comments RGO may have, are there similarities etc etc I think its extremely unlikely a patent expert is going to spend what is probably weeks wading through patents , so contacting the co probably represents your best chance of getting some sensible relevant info.... -just a thought, but if you want to be daft about it.... | the prophet |
