11/12/2013 07:24 | Very attractive update, dont know how the share price will perform today, I'm a bit annoyed as I wasn't expecting the update today and was moving towards increasing my holding here, will have to see how the price pans out now :-) | owenski
08/12/2013 01:53 | First thing to say is the spread is getting way too much. I did end up paying it though as just couldn't get inside it. It was 35-40p and I paid 40.8p for some 28k of shares on Friday. Note we've now just finished the first 6 months of their year (end Nov) so in theory we could get a trading update end Dec. Having said that one didn't come out last year. We had to wait for H1 results that came out 21st Jan. I suppose its not too long to wait. Been trying to work out their trading based on how much more capital they have raised. The extert below given on 2nd sept gives some clues just how well its be going. Maria Hampton, CEO of 1pm, commented: "We are very pleased to have been granted this new facility. This brings the total amount of new funding raised since 31st May 2013 to just under £4.3m, which is more than the Company raised during the whole of the last financial year (FY13: £4.14m). " If we assume the £4.3m above includes the £1.5m placing that gives us a run rate of 2.8 a qtr. Lets go with 2m extra a qtr to be on the conservative side. That gives us £10.3m for FY14 in total compared with FY13 of £4.14m thats about 150% up. Obviously we have to assume all capital is used productively but indications are the UK ecomony is doing OK so I would expect this to be a great environment for 1pm. Lets just assume thats transfers to an Eps increase of 150% as well (you'd expect alot more due to many costs being fixed... but again lets be conservative) so lets just go with 150% for the moment. That would have eps of some 6.625p and then we have to reduce it by a third due to the placing. Which comes to 4.4p eps FY14. Not sure what PE to go with as it will have an impressive track record at this point...perhaps somewhere between 15-20 ....lets go with 17.5 ....so a potential share price of 77p. These shares are off the radar but I reckon come results day in Jan 2014 we should get some interest. | the oak tree
04/12/2013 14:04 | Lads , any small companies to invest my hard cash . | abbey8
03/12/2013 16:54 | I think its a great time to get in. Why wait for news which is likely to be good. Thanks Davidosh for the comparison results, can see Banks not lending so this surely must be doing well. Especially when far fewer businesses are getting into difficulties. I keep buying. | the oak tree
03/12/2013 14:14 | Good time to get in as I am sure news will flow in soon. GLA | abbey8
03/12/2013 11:46 | I bought last week and have this firmly in my "target early retirement isa" now. We know the big banks are not lending as much so it opens up the market for 1pm. It does rely on news flow to move the share but I'm not too bothered by the noise as I am more interested in this coming good in the next 15 years. | pyemckay
03/12/2013 10:52 | This information in the results out today from PCF should give us a pretty good indicator.... Business asset finance has also seen good growth. New business originations increased by 34% to £11.4 million (2012 - £8.5 million). This growth is coming off a low base, as confidence among small businesses has been lagging behind the consumer sector. However, we believe volume growth will now strengthen as the economic recovery gathers pace and SMEs look to replace business critical assets. | davidosh
03/12/2013 10:38 | Nothing's changed in my view. I think we're just waiting for some news which should hopefully act as a catalyst. We haven't heard anything for quite a while. | jamielein
03/12/2013 10:09 | The market place still looks good and in favour of this company . Any thought lads. | abbey8
22/11/2013 13:05 | Bought a load more today. I think the lack of broker forecasts is an opportunity to buy. Eventually the numbers will come. Stock o thingy does have some numbers up for forecast but they look wrong and way out of date. Its difficult to forecast being a finance company, the large extra funds received and of course the placing. EPS grew 70% between FY12 and FY13 and I won't be surprised for something similar even taking account of the placing. We're also nearly half way through FY14. | the oak tree
18/11/2013 16:28 | I don't think broker forecasts have been available for as long as I've been looking at these. No idea for today's fall. Could just be due to the chart going sideways as mentioned above, and then edging down. Could have caused a domino effect. I'm waiting for news before deciding what to do. The historic growth here is fantastic, and PE is pretty low considering. | jamielein
18/11/2013 16:02 | No other ideas re the fall other than that there are no broker forecasts curretnly available. I suspect this is due to WH Ireland's ineptitude but am not 100% certain of this. | shanklin
18/11/2013 15:59 | Anyone any ideas for todays fall? I can only think its because of the lack of news, side ways share price which has edged down as people move on to other stocks that are going up and now its beginning to go through people's stop loss points e.g. we're now down 19% from high. Could probably see it down at the 29 - 30p mark soon. | the oak tree
02/11/2013 08:32 | Thanks Shanklin for this , very interesting reading. And I feel this has direct reverence to 1PM. I can only guess they are mopping up the gap left by these Banks. And this in a time when companies are recovering well with many fewer having bad debt problems etc. In other words this is the time to be a lender! Till a trading update we'll be in the dark but IMO I'm willing to put 2+2 togeher and guess 1PM are undervalued. | the oak tree
02/11/2013 08:07 | Lending at RBS. | shanklin
24/10/2013 10:31 | Flat better than down , plus plenty of activity in this sector at the moment and we are making money as well as we have directors buying with holding companies getting in . gla | abbey8
24/10/2013 09:28 | Think you are right Oak Tree - it is simply under the radar of most people - but I thought the same - very odd. But then again - another similar stock with stellar rise (UTW) has similarly shot up and then been completely flat for a few days - I wonder if this might too stretch out into a period of inactivity. | willydoctor
11/10/2013 09:02 | Every little helps .gla | abbey8
10/10/2013 16:44 | Anyone else think this graph shape looks a bit odd? By odd I don't mean bad, just that you don't often see a massive rise followed by what is nearly a straight horizontal line for 2 months. This co displays small company scndrome i.e. little information for much of the year followed by lots of actively. In the end I suspect it will go to the same place....higher!:) | the oak tree
10/10/2013 12:39 | A few available to buy at 41.1p earlier which was helpful. Now, nothing at less than 41.9p. | shanklin
28/9/2013 12:56 | abbey8....you keep posting one liners about nothing. Do you know anything detailed about the actual business that may enlighten the rest of us otherwise probably better to relax with your investment ? | davidosh
27/9/2013 20:39 | Well , good news keeps coming up here , directors buy , holding company and next BUY at 60p will be recommended by the experts. gla | abbey8
12/9/2013 13:51 | I might as well , may be news coming soon.gla | abbey8
12/9/2013 13:36 | £50k director buy...I think that's worthy of a top-up. | jamielein
12/9/2013 11:18 | Nice Director buy | flesh |
