21/1/2014 11:19 | OPM are likely to do close to 4p of eps in the year ending May 2014 at current run rate and I can see 40% headline growth in eps being quite a draw to investors who look two years into the future. I do not see a slowdown in the level of business they are being shown and so, in the absence of mainstream bank lending, they will have at least another two very strong years ahead. They could double earnings in those two years and £1 per share would be very cheap for that level of growth... Another important kPI for me was to see that bad debts are actiually reducing so they are making good decisions about who they lend to OR the actual quality of applicant is getting even better and they are increasing the loan book rapidly now so it is crucial that the quality of the loan book stays high and bad, non collected debt does not erode profits. Well done to the team for keeping up the quality there. On a separate thought... Would any of you like to come to a small company presentation next Monday at 4pm with John Lewis of Hungerford (new handmade kitchens and bedrooms)at their newly refurbished Fulham showroom ? There will be a large number of investors and current shareholders and no doubt shareholder discounts will be very worthwhile if any of you are looking to improve your homes. I think JLH will do very well as the economy improves and must declare a notifiable interest but it would be good to see a few of you there if you can make it ? David | davidosh
21/1/2014 08:44 | Morning Knigel. Interesting balance here. There is undoubtedly a bit of selling and no surprise the MMs have marked them down, but there is o stock about so all that would be needed is a positive write up in the press overnight and I guess the sellers will be mopped up quickly. My best guess would therefore be that they will tick up over the next few days - but I've been wrong so many times in the past that one more wrong guess is more likely! | willydoctor
21/1/2014 07:51 | Good morning all , It does look positive to me as it powering ahead with a strong demands for their products . | abbey8
21/1/2014 07:17 | There's a high p/e as it is a high growth company - 40% increase in the six month period to 1.61p - can't argue with that. Agree though that perhaps in the short term it will be difficult for the share price to break 70p - depends on buying volume gla | knigel
21/1/2014 07:14 | not much there that we don't know anyway high p/e cant see much to go for, anyway could be wrong | tom111
20/1/2014 21:36 | cnks still marching north cant win them all | tom111
20/1/2014 21:34 | I thought so gl | tom111
20/1/2014 18:43 | I have already . | abbey8
20/1/2014 17:55 | don't forget to set the alarm for 6.55am abbey | tom111
20/1/2014 11:48 | Well - most recent statements show that they are now (1) increasingly relending matured loans and (2) successfully borrowing money in the market so unless I am mistaken this suggests to me that they so not need to dilute. They seem to be cautious in terms of expansion which is a good thing to see rather than overborrowing. | willydoctor
20/1/2014 10:58 | Yes it will also be interesting to see whether they have additional plans to raise capital for further lending. Possible stock dilution further ahead? | frenchfry
20/1/2014 10:10 | I agree Frenchfry - the trading update in December suggestes that momentum is gaining. If this has continued then we can cautiously hope for surprise on the upside. The crucial thing as you say is forward looking statement. If they are hugely positive blah blah then I think they might shoot up since there is absolutely no stock about. I'm in too. | willydoctor
19/1/2014 14:23 | Why the directors bought in OPM , why the market is a plus to OPM, why some time ago it was recommended to 95p , why last trade news it says above expectation , why , why , why , may be better ask Tom Tom. | abbey8
19/1/2014 14:07 | The big question for Tuesday - Has the share price risen enough as a result of the nice trading update in December ie reflected in the price already?, or will the results not only impress on the upside, but provide a favourable trading update of future prospects? Should be interesting! Personally, I'm in. | frenchfry
19/1/2014 12:25 | Thanks and I will be looking forward to my retirement with OPM. | abbey8
19/1/2014 11:35 | abbey im happy being in cnks and others I just feel a bit uneasy on this one,is the share price baked in the cake is the question I ask myself.gl for Tuesday abbey | tom111
19/1/2014 09:40 | The last time a director bought was 4 months ago i.e. 12 & 26th Sept 2013. They can't buy until results are announced as they are in the closed period. | the oak tree
19/1/2014 09:27 | With the directors buying before Tuesday results it tells you the story. Some experts predicts 95p for this share in the coming months . Tom , Tom may is better you get in tomorrow or might loss your way again. gl | abbey8
19/1/2014 08:54 | At some point of course 1PM may apply for their own banking licence which would allow them to take deposits directly from the public which if done at say 4% and then loaned efficiently to businesses at anywhere near the current levels they achieve would then double profits ! The cheaper and easier they have access to money and then more efficiently distribute it than banks suggests a great long term future here. | davidosh
18/1/2014 10:12 | Money , money , money , that is OPM . Gllth . | abbey8
17/1/2014 19:03 | I'm still here. Still holding OPM as an investment? Depends on whether you are a short term speculator or in for the long term. Short term you could lose, long term you will not, this is a great long term investment. Where will the share price be in 2 years, especially if labour want to split up the large banks? | wotreally
17/1/2014 18:06 | Being the gambler that I am I was expecting a bit more today so I have bailed out with a profit and will watch from the side lines gl abbey | tom111
17/1/2014 16:32 | Good for Monday pre Tuesday results .Gla | abbey8
17/1/2014 13:21 | Ed Milliband may be spouting drivel but it probably won't do OPM any harm. | shanklin |
