La victoire du Parti conservateur aux élections législatives au Royaume-Uni constitue une bonne nouvelle pour les groupes de distribution. Ce secteur est le plus grand employeur du pays, selon le British Retail Consortium. Le Parti travailliste avait promis de relever le salaire minimum à 800 pence par heure, au lieu de 650 pence, ce qui aurait pénalisé les marges de groupes comme Tesco (TSCO.LN) et J. Sainsbury (SRBY.LN). "Tout ce qui aide du côté des coûts salariaux est bon pour nous", a déclaré le directeur général de Tesco, Mike Coupe, la semaine dernière au cours d'une réunion avec des journalistes. Le titre Tesco gagne 2,3% à 229 pence. L'action Sainsbury monte de 2,3% également, à 273 pence.
