Blimey - reading this board is like reading HCEG all over again. All the same old faces. Now - without me having to trawl back through all the drivel, what has happened here?

Supposedly yes. Lots of companies go bust, I always look at the way in which the directors dealt with the investors in the months prior to going bust and in distributing any left overs, answering questions etc. For that there is some 'previous' here.

Some say 'look we've got problems, things don't look too good etc.' and they say it for months ahead of liquidation, keeping investors informed.

Others carry on the bs and spin right up until the day they delist. I don't see any of those directors sitting outside Kwik Save with a mouth organ and a bowl though. They usually reappear in another floated 'venture'.

I might also add one of the punters of this company was heavily into another company and you wouldnt believe the pedigree of that companies directors and non execs.
Guess what, it went t--s up big style.

For anyone here who has suffered a thumping loss...

Always, always, always google the directors before you invest.
There are loads of companies to invest in without adding any additional risk that is already known about.

btw this is not hindsight as you might see from the early days of the thread.

Aughton- do you have google Earth? Check out the address of the above at street view level! It looks like a block of flats in Romford! Dodgy or what? Wonder if thats where the directors are now hiding out?

JOHANNESBURG -(Dow Jones)- Absa Group Ltd. (ASA.JO), South Africa's largest retail lender, has acquired stakes in four Johannesburg-listed companies following client defaults on futures contracts.

It also bought a 17% stake in Sekunjalo Investments Ltd. (SKJ.JO) for ZAR36.5 million, which with a stake held by its Absa Corporate & Business Bank unit gives it a holding of 26%.

Absa, which is one of South Africa's so-called Big Three banking groups, is majority owned by the U.K.'s Barclays PLC (BCS).
