29/10/2008 18:26 | ok,see you tomorrow | petersmith6
28/10/2008 19:39 | Simple, you just stop posting cos there is no point any longer. Oh and say bye bye to your investment. | willib2
27/10/2008 23:05 | so what happens if were delisted then? | petersmith6
24/10/2008 06:49 | "I still expect an even lower market is in store" Now for the rest of it ........ I have a couple of years to build on ......:-) And Dermasalve will be axed by the LSE shortly . HCEG ? | substp
23/10/2008 21:39 | Hello willib2, it's no more of a miss than many others that have done even better and that I also had never intended to buy. I make a point of not buying into downtrends, when announcements are expected, etc. as that is just gambling and I don't mind getting rich slowly which is preferable to getting poor quickly. I have done very well with CTT in the past which is the only reason why I still follow it. I must be getting sentimental;-) Yes, I know what you're thinking! lol As an aside, I don't think I've ever experienced a market quite like this apart from the final few weeks of the last bear market when everything was in freefall. The difference this time I feel is that stocks will not rebound so strongly and for as long. I still expect an even lower market is in store. We'll have to see. | redd
23/10/2008 20:31 | Redd. Had lap top in garage whilst rebuilding an engine, and inadvertantly looked at the 23.50p to 34.75p figure instead of the 41.50 at day close.(See web page) Worse than I thought, 76.59% thats quite a miss whatever strategy involved. Agree one stock reliance would be very boring but that was quite a miss however you look at it. Not into CTT so didnt bag it. Tell you what though, July04 price was 299p and it peaked at 470s in Feb07. 473p/299p thats +58% thats no big deal really is it, and that took nearly 3 years. Have made substantially more than that several times over during that time. 58% in 3years, 76.59% in a couple of days Mmmmm. | willib2
23/10/2008 19:01 | willib2, there you go, my strategy is not losing me money and yours is (PIC down over 50% from it's recent high) so don't understand why you want to have a dig at me. Surprised at your comment because surely it was far more important that I missed the fall from 473p to 23.5p rather than gambled on a falling price which may have gone even lower. substp will testify to the folly of trying to catch falling knives! It's been very clear to me for over a year that this Bull market was turning to bust and consequently I've avoided losses. Interestingly I did well during the last downturn and even better when the upturn came. I plan to do the same this time and, as before, will not rely on gambling on one stock to achieve that. Did you bag that 47.8% rise? PS. Don't know how you arrive at 47.8% in 2 days so you might like to check your figures. | redd
23/10/2008 18:44 | Redd, +47.8% in 2 days and you missed it, I think its time for a strategy review. The reality is you missed the bottom due to too much theory. Yes I did suffer with the rest of them. Am I worried ? No. Do I really need your advice, I think not, however thanks for your concern my friend. | willib2
23/10/2008 17:47 | willib2, you know I did as you know my strategy. But I expect, like Mark30, you suffered another big fall, down 13% today, on your PIC shares;-) I did warn you! | redd
23/10/2008 16:11 | Redd. Please tell me you didnt miss todays 21% increase. | willib2
23/10/2008 07:05 | Just 2 months and a bit to go before the exchange cancels these shares ? Or will DRM have enough b*ll*cks to pull the plug themselves ? :-( | substp
22/10/2008 06:21 | Banks go UNDER cos they cant borrow but fledgeling AIM companies that cant, just seem to keep going, its amazing. | willib2
22/10/2008 02:36 | What style Redd ? .....Sorry missed it..... :-)) I'm surprised the lady hasn't sung yet ....... | substp
21/10/2008 21:02 | willib2, re CTT; I very wisely missed losing money during the decline from 473p to 23.5p (the dramatic fall from £1 caught many out; a fall of over 75%) so not surprising that I missed a one day jump. I like to buy when there is more clarity, an uptrend and the broader market is performing better. Much too volatile right now and I don't think anyone is getting many trades right. Suppose I could start day trading but that's not really my style;-) | redd
21/10/2008 17:35 | Redd Its totally lost on me, you would be better continuing trying to educate, Wig123. Thats what I asked , did you make the most of that last opportunity. | willib2
21/10/2008 17:14 | willib2, I am watching CTT closely for an opportunity and currently interested in what Thursday's statement says, and importantly, does not say. Because of the recession it is not that high on my shopping list so it would have to be a very good update. Re PIC, I can tell that you wish you'd taken my advice now because what has happened is not unexpected but fear this comment "very few people round currently with a holding that is in a plus sitution" means you might follow Mark30 and "take it to the wire";-) | redd
21/10/2008 16:26 | Redd Were you up to scratch with CTT or did you miss that little surge. Dont you worry about my PIC little dabble, very few people round currently with a holding that is in a plus sitution. | willib2
21/10/2008 08:51 | This dog is still keeping its shareholders in suspence but then you can be assured of the final outcome. Just a shame you cannot sell. What stock are you ramping now substp, I'm looking for another dead cert short. Talking of which, willib2, I hope you heeded my warnings because it's now down 40p from the most recent peak and the curse of Mark30 appears alive and well;-) | redd
19/10/2008 13:54 | Bush and Blair administration ? is that the new late night comady show on channel 5? | petersmith6
19/10/2008 11:55 | Substp. Blair didnt have an administration, he had unelected advisors and we are going down the same path again. | willib2
17/10/2008 02:24 | I contributed in more ways than one over the last decades Willib but I can see the trees where most people in the western world are in denial . | substp
16/10/2008 16:37 | Very profound statement considering as how you played your part by transferring your wealth to some of those very people, and did it with a great degree of zest I may add. | willib2
16/10/2008 02:31 | Ebiox springs to mind ........ Greed and bad management is what got this nation into trouble ....... We all had a part to play with our overzealous living .... :-( | substp |
