30/11/2006 10:49 | the legacy website contains conceptual cover art and the first wave's press release points to a release sometime in the first half of 2007. | ![]() macca28
30/11/2006 10:49 | dont you mean 9 & 10 macca... ;o) Have a look at the demos macca, proof enough to my mind,.... but have to wait and see, but end of day alongside TAS, this is one muvva of a juicy future RNS that gets us moving.. | jacobjohn7
30/11/2006 10:44 | if you look down the list, i know number 29 is dvd extra for a fact, also you would think number 10 is too, but i cant find any proof for that one, | ![]() macca28
30/11/2006 10:26 | Diamante - is "due dilligence" specifically referred to in some news item or comment? A general interpretation could be that Zoo will maintain the intellectual confidentiality of the partnership. | ![]() uknighted
30/11/2006 10:02 | Uk, I'd agree with that - it is certainly pure commercial logic - if it were otherwise, it would mean Disney are inept business people. Imo, Disney have far more flexibility reagrding Zoos products if Zoo remain as a partner as opposed to a division - a few million here or there to Disney is a small price to pay for that. Could you comment on Due Diligence, regarding the contractual relationship between Disney and Zoo? (My view here is that due diligence means that Disney will ensure zoo is enduring - ie profitable). | ![]() diamante
30/11/2006 09:53 | zoo in a sense dont want to be bought out by a big boy, due to the fact that whoever did would block off there tech to be exclusive to themselves.. whereas zoo at present can and will sell to everyone. Although everyone has there price. I'll start the bid at £10. | jacobjohn7
30/11/2006 09:50 | Im sure APH wont mind me posting this, he mentioned it to me... it does support the fact that there are many many interested companies looking at TAS, and expect big stuff/announcements (perhaps in the results statement) about TAS take up.... "Large and small video publishers are lining up to use the software, and talk to ZOO about developing new technologies. These are exciting times for ZOO." ZOO's words from there website: | jacobjohn7
30/11/2006 09:47 | Diamante - as I see it, its purely a commercial logic - as single biggest customer Disney can "call the tune" and not be "lumbered" with Zoos overheads. Additionally, while Zoo are refining the product for other users there may be spin off benefits for Disney. Finally, sales to other studios helps to subsidise the development costs, these sales would be lost if Disney bought Zoo out. | ![]() uknighted
30/11/2006 09:36 | It amounts to my initial estimation of what they could get Zoo for. On second thoughts, I'd refine it to 3 years worth of (growing) licence fees. But the point is the same. Do you have any views why it makes more sense to Disney to pay licence fees instead of buying Zoo out? (I do, but I'll give you a chance to make a contribution). | ![]() diamante
30/11/2006 09:29 | Diamante - what does 2 years' worth of licence fees amount to? | ![]() uknighted
30/11/2006 09:23 | Mac, it looks like Disney are putting all their movies onto DVD, and taking the first steps on porting them to Blu-ray, taking the lead in next gen high definition stuff. Blu-ray (and hddvd) allow far more inteeraction with far more content - one of the reasons they signed Tas, to handle the additional complexity bluray enables. It looks like they are first movers (as you would expect Disney to be), and they are partnering with Z00 as a central core of gaining and maintaining the lead. I'm a bit baffled at to why Disney just doesn't buy out Zoo - it would cost them just 2 years worth of licence fees at the moment to do so (at a 100% premium, the min the vulture capitalists would settle for imo). | ![]() diamante

The number of iDVD titles available in the UK has increased dramatically this year; should rights holders in other markets be paying more attention? 29/11/2006 16:30 | Look on the bright side - 100% buys today! (There's a serious point in there though - there is nobody left with anything meaningful to sell - all the big holders got in at 48.75, and only a handul of people took up small positions below that - so no sellers will be attracted till the price is a lot higher imo). | ![]() diamante

29/11/2006 13:29 | BGT will give a taster as to the prospects for ZOO at the end of Jan... "I am pleased to announce the successful completion of the fundraising, which has been supported by the majority of our institutional shareholders. Lara Croft Tomb Raider - The Action Adventure, is now on sale in most major retail outlets in the UK, will be rolling out across major European territories shortly, and will be on sale in the U.S. towards the beginning of December. We hope that sales this Christmas will demonstrate that there is a market place for the new genre of interactive DVD Games and look forward to updating the market towards the end of January." | rob008 |
