Ministry of sound idvd is dvd-extra and it also has zootech on the dvd as opposed to zoo digital.

a good starting point is 3 million units sold in UK market last year.. with zoo having 70% (source: ZOO annual report 2006) so last year they had 2,100,000 products and various royalties/fees/ etc. So base it on that, and the amount of higher profile/qtys this year.. and say 60% zoo coverage across the products.

UK, While I agree with what you say, I didn't suggest taking a stab at revenues or costs.

What I did say was to take a stab at expectations. Are more or less iDVDs likely to be sold than the number estimated some time ago by the brokers who produced the profit forecast? (rhetorical).

Zoo followers can certainly see whether there are more or less for sale than they personally expected. From my pov, I'm astounded by the floor space and number of iDVDs on sale this year. I bert the brokers didn't have much more info to go on than we did - once DES is licensed, even zoo don't know how many idvds any particular licencee will churn out.

Has the number of idvds on sale surprised you? (not rhetorical).

The problem with that is whilst a stab at revenues could be taken, we have no way of estimating at what overhead levels the company is currently running at.

All the spats finished? Great. Makes a change not to be in one!

Now why don't we all meander down the high street and see if any goods from which zoo get a rakeoff are being sold. We could even try to estimate whether the level of zoo product exposure is greater or less than the exposure the analysts who made the profit estimates expected. From that, we could take a stab at guessing whether that profit level is likely to be updated upwards or downwards, and guess what effect a possible upward or downward profit revision would have. Also, we could guess a what a trading statement may say, and how that may affect the price.

That way, anyone who has previously lost out could possibly see a way forward of getting some of those losses back.
