Yes i agree with all that.I think the article is fine as far as it goes but with china the dominant player in rare earths,it would be irresponsible not to secure a ‘secure’ source of supply. After all, while the Western world suffers the consequences of Russia Ukrainian incursions, ally China benefits from negotiated lower oil prices. This is likely be repeated, dislocating supply/demand equations,in a variety of commodities. As a warning to the unwary about supply dislocation,Sweden made a fortune in the second world war providing iron ore derived ball bearings to both Germany and Britain.

Steeple,

Looks like he saying as Lithium has already fallen by 50%, the market is already foreseeing higher supply coming.

But the thing is demand is also coming, so it depends on this point whether enough supply will be enough. There is no guarantee Lithium price will be lower or higher or the same as today

Usually high metal prices brings out the new projects/supply which re-balances the prices. The other thing is as you know from HZM that higher inflation costs with projects and associated higher financing costs are now in the mix which were not present when these projects started. So the DFS studies will be of vital importance to get financing and whether projects will still be feasible

Alot of early exploration companies jumped on the bandwagon of higher commodity prices, we will see if these are still gonna be feasible. Many will find these will not be.

But lets not forget we have China and the West competing for resources with China getting most of its from Africa and Indonesia, so the West needs to make its own supply now

The German government plans to set up a state fund worth up to €2 billion that will support mining of raw materials critical to the nation's green transition, with the aim of securing access and cutting reliance on China. Go Znwd

Some 18 months ago in Dec 2021,there was a placing (which included a retail offer through Primary Bid) at 15.5p.It will be interesting to see if the stock ploughs on through that price.

well a few pre-IPO bailing out it seemed, no buyers, so Thamesis note helped and Lithium demand recognition in the wider market DYOR

I’m really not sure why ZNWD dropped as much as it did, especially as supported by institutional investors

This is what happens when sentiment turns on a thinly traded stock that was heavily oversold. The major shareholders must be very happy
