17/9/2020 11:24 | It needs to keep running up so I can get out at break even! | toffeeman
17/9/2020 11:06 | Tick Tok the mouse runs up the clock. :-) | clocktower
14/9/2020 17:39 | 200 shares traded and the share price goes up 2.5% LOL This will be 80p maybe more before long imo. | clocktower

04/9/2020 16:42 | Well Toffeeman, with yesterdays RNS and the recent climb in the share price you may yet see it back to 80p imo but not one for me now. Good luck. | clocktower
03/9/2020 09:25 | Still in here Clock- with no expectations | toffeeman
03/9/2020 09:08 | Seeing a little interest in the stock of recent, I thought I would pop in and see any posts floating around. Very nice to see such a honest post from lpl1. Cannot be long before ZIN issue an update I guess. | clocktower
30/7/2020 10:10 | Fellow Bloggers - I'm signing out of this thread now, but want to end my short tenure by being transparent - I was a business partner of Zinc plc and Roy Ackerman & Karen Edwards two senior execs, treated me unethically, as your fellow threader GW knows so well. In fact, it was my recommendation to GW that he buy Zinc shares in the first place. When Zinc ripped me off, GW lent me some money (repaid in full). I've said my piece and wish you all well with your investments in this poor excuse for a Television Producer. | lpl1
29/7/2020 15:08 | Agreed GW - we all know the history, we all know that they are a limited scope micro cap but they do produce some good content which deserves some credit. They have made some useful hires, streamlined and focussed and made efforts to address margin so I'm prepared to give this team the benefit of the doubt. For now! | symbiote
29/7/2020 14:35 | Let them sue me! Don't be so narrow minded. I obviously didn't mean it literally - just going by what others have indicated on this thread: "That the Board are using Shareholders' money to live high on the hog". Apologise for upsetting your sensibilities. | lpl1
29/7/2020 14:15 | Personally I think it remains an interesting turnaround play, despite being buffeted by the Covid19 headwinds. In the 27th July TU they give encouraging guidance ("further positions the Group to be..."): o Profitable from 2021 o Cash generative in 2H 2021 While there's an element of "jam tomorrow" about that, we are not all that far from 2021. They also say they have closed the CSR business which accounts for a substantial amount of the Group's losses (in the 12 months to June 2020) - so that will help with profitability in 2021, although I guess it may result in some exceptional charges this year. I still can't explain the spike to around 90p on 27th and the odd (middle of the day) timing. It looks like a bit of a short squeeze, although you'd have to be brave to short such a small company whose share trading is so illiquid, so I'd be surprised if there was much of a short position out there. But if the shareprice is going to settle at around the current level for a while, that is a pretty good move from the pre-TU position. | 1gw
29/7/2020 14:08 | In what way? If you are accusing the company of being fraudulent in some way that is quite an allegation to make on a public bulletin board. | 1gw
29/7/2020 12:40 | I do not claim to be as expert as others on this thread, but Zinc feels to me like a Ponzi Scheme...... | lpl1
28/7/2020 13:24 | Delivering "WHAT"??? Surely not Global Returnable Series. A few sales to C5 and Smithsonian do not produce the kind of Global Rights income Super-indies need to sustain themselves in these difficult (Coronavirus) times...... | lpl1
28/7/2020 13:22 | Chance would be a fine thing symbiote, I think the management are content to live off shareholders while they can, as it`s far less effort than having to earn your living. Jam tomorrow but for whom, even if by CHANCE the wind would change direction. | clocktower
28/7/2020 12:34 | Despite my pessimism based on this stock's history my biggest concern is that it finally gets bought out (mbo or other)at a "generous" premium over its net cash amount now that it has a decent chance of delivering. | symbiote
28/7/2020 08:17 | Rinse and repeat here, time and time again. | clocktower
28/7/2020 08:05 | Going back down as quick as it went up. Really don't think the trading update warranted such a large increase yesterday. Reckon a lot of holders noticing yesterday's rise and will sell now | danboris2
28/7/2020 07:21 | So today back to tumbleweed city? | 1gw
27/7/2020 20:02 | not posted here or anywhere for awhile. TU was ok but they are along way off making a profit. Long term holders should have sold that spike today. Seemed manufactured imo. If they weren't really making enough money before, they still wont ne, plus all the bbc cutbacks. And this from may 21st "The Group is anticipating revenues to be 40% down on pre-Covid levels in the period July-December 2020" still stands imo. The volume probably comprised of short covering, mug punters, profit takers and finally new short sellers and possibly MORE forward sells via a fundraiser. Classic aim coded message we need cash, issues shares, manipulate price, sell in to the spike. | kmann
27/7/2020 19:45 | Is the mcap of this really 1b? | gaffer73
27/7/2020 16:20 | I recently had a coffee with a very Senior Zinc exec and he made me pay for my own. Said there is ZERO money available for Entertainment of any kind. C'mon on - this is the "Television Biz". It's all about relationships and schmoozing. If it wasn't for Coronavirus, you'd see far more people deserting the sinking ship...... | lpl1
27/7/2020 16:01 | The other thing to notice is the intra-day chart. Initial bump up to around 50p perhaps reasonable on the back of the TU given the recent sell off. But the rise from around 60p to 90p between about 1pm and 2pm on the back of no intra-day news and not huge evident volume seems very odd. Some of the delayed bigger trades actually look to me like profit-taking. If the move was just delayed reaction to the TU, why chase the price up so fast? | 1gw
27/7/2020 15:42 | Bearing in mind the concert party own around 45% of the stock and there is only around 39% in free float, this is a big turnover of stock for such a small announcement, and a company that has not or is likely to show any profits for some time, if ever. | clocktower |
