It's interesting - IMO - to listen again to the Oct 2020 Proactive interview, esp. how AT presents the Shard subscription deal in the context of renewed interest from 'strategic partners'.

Good job taking the time to call him.

As for AT, He really does his job of sounding vague and ominous quite well.
-as we'd all expect by now...

However, I think we all also agree that the technical "updates and costings" are another can kicked down the road and completely irrelevant as far as real progress goes.
I.e. The type of updates we're interested in are the ones RoC, Glencore and China would release in front of flashing cameras, not breaking news by ZIOC exactly....

...as for detailed costings; I bet that they'll keep those close to their chest and won't make public any details that can be scrutinised beyond what highlights they have shared in the past. -I.e. "good headline material" but useless to help anyone work out the real details. (Remember EPP, Cold pellets and floating processing facility etc? Not much meat on the bone so to speak..)


Anyway, as long as they keep the license and keep the lights on in Jumelles/MPD Congo there is hope.
Who knows, with these swings maybe I'll even have a chance to get my 100K shares back at the 7p again into my ISA collection of dubious investments again....?! ;)

Hi all,

Spoke to AT this pm, he's currently staying in Dubai, is aware of the new restrictions on returnees.

Was 'aware' that there'd been a flurry of activity today (but not of the spike to top of leaderboard @40% this am), which I said had prompted my call, given absence of newsflow.

Said ZIOC would be providing an update on technical aspects and costings updates but that it would be difficult to say more.

Re management incentives' said that they'd been too busy on other things so hadn't bothered working out this year's 'retention bonus' (reminded me that the package was at least in part a trade-off for having to come back to full-time), said nothing needed to be done re LTIP since these were 'event-driven' .

The first 7m were sold by 11 Jan, the second 7m have been available for subscription since then.

yup, it really is sod's law, and no, I'm sure that particular tranche was bought at 12p or was it 18? anyway, at least it's reared it's head back over 10p again... I'll be paying attention again when its over 24p or AT says something of real substance (Assuming the two events will coincide...:) )

It's funny... 3 days ago I had to sell to cover stamp duty... No other funds available. what to do? sell 200K+ shares of Zanaga at 6.x? I refused... but still needed the funds urgently.

Ended up begging the wife to lend me some money and sell "only" 100K shares at 7p...
Happy i didn't sell more but can't shake the frustration of time and opportunity lost. After all these years of risk we should be at 50p+ (or 500p+ for that matter)... not twitching below 10p..
But hey, at least it's got a pulse.. or twitch..

Anyway, onwards and upwards.

I'm not particularly au fait with spread-betting , but people e lse where seem to think that spread co's are only taking closing orders atm ...and that this may mean something : apparently normally only happens with limited free float ...or high potential to rise.

I checked at Spreadex after hours but couldn't see any pointers either way

Excellent catch Extrader, the comment from Glen is appreciated, although less committal than I wish!

If Glen wanted the full ownership they would have done well to buy up a decent chunk on the open market (as we all know it's cheap as chips at 6p) rather than make an expensive bid immediately.

Glen could probably have snapped up 30-50% at sub 50p/share before having to make an official takeover offer for the outstanding shares. unless I'm missing something?

I read with some disbelief that we have another IPO hopeful in the borderlands between Gabon and RoC wanting to raised money and do some exploration.. I'm half inclined to send them some news cut outs from Exxaro, Sundance, and others that have been there and done that...
