11/2/2013 09:03 | Fingers xxd as kindly formed another Chart on ZAM. It can be viewed on his thread, post number 3772 @ | tenapen
05/2/2013 18:47 | Hi Tenapen, There are many strong reasons to invest in this ZAM. It is the end to end control of the inputs, estate and infrastucture, value addition and marketing with the backdrop of a developing and politically stable economy blessed with abundant water and a good growing climate that makes this a compelling proposition. ZAM can squeeze out better margins than other producers who only form a part of the "field to fork" chain. With the dairy and livestock they may be even getting part of their fertilizer requirements on the cheap or for free ! Livestock and climate/weather remain risks in any agribusiness, but these can be mitigated to some extent. There are so many income streams within the company which reduces commercial risk and they are widening their geographical footprint also. ZAM are not really dependent on wider international markets as they have a pent up demand for their products either within the country or in neighbouring countries. Each division seems to be profitable in its own right. They also have huge tracts of land that is either irrigated or ready to cultivate - getting upto 17000 hectares ready for cultivation is no small task. I have been long looking for a good agribusiness and ZAM seems to be in the sweet spot. At the moment, my exposure to the growing agri sector is through ISAs in CF Ecletica Agri Fund and First State Agribusiness funds - which are doing okay but not brilliant. I am pretty excited about ZAM at the moment....:) | multibagger
05/2/2013 17:40 | Thanks Multibagger, Good Luck to you also. The possibilities for Zambeef are endless IMO but there are risks when breeding animals. | tenapen
05/2/2013 06:30 | I guess the $14.25m cash from Rainbow will be used to reduce the debt which is at an all time high because of the soya inventory. On reading the announcement, I get the impression that ZAM have got a very good payment/deal from Rainbow. Rainbow on the other hand must be pretty optimistic that they can make decent money from their side of the bargain given their expertise in the poultry industry... so it is the much cliched win-win. With not too many shares in free float, any significant interest should see this improve in share price rapidly. Good luck all :) | multibagger
04/2/2013 18:48 | Thanks Puku for pointing me in the direction of ZAM. Made a couple of small purchases today...seems to have a good growth story, excellent track record and in the right sector at the right time, not too many shares available on the AIM in London (approx 121m of which a fair bit has been taken up by funds).....shall add whenever funds allow and share remains undervalued. Good luck all :) | multibagger
04/2/2013 09:27 | How did the Pet Shop Boys say it ! "We have the brawn you have the brains, lets make lots of money" Something like that, LOL AGTA, realy need to keep an eye on ZAM and copy there every move, where possible. | tenapen
04/2/2013 09:19 | This seems a sweet ($14.25 million in cash) deal for ZAM. | gerri-c

27/1/2013 08:30 | Cyfran101, A general re-rating along with a lot of other stocks, imo. Regards. -------------------- 22Jan 2013 Zambeef Products PLC (ZAMBEEF) - Speculative BUY Market Cap: £112m; Current Price: 45p; Target Price: 67p Return to cash harvesting in 2013 Zambeef remains one of our favoured ways to invest in the growth of sub-Saharan Africa on the LSE. We note that the shares have now reached the 44p price target we set during 2012. Following a review of recent results, the debt situation and our valuation methodology, we have upgraded our price target to 67p and retain our Speculative Buy rating. We believe a return to strong free cash generation in 2013 will be the catalyst to drive the shares ahead. DOWNLOAD FULL NOTE HERE: Zambeef 2201 | tenapen
26/1/2013 14:16 | Indeed. The Panmure price target has already been reached! Is it the prospects of dividends, a leak of a favourable decision on the tax dispute or generally the advent of a highly cash generative period that is driving Zam so high so quick. The p/e was low for this type of growth share so maybe it's a general re-rating. | cyfran101

23/1/2013 19:05 | Hi Valhamos, Im still nervous after the very large sell of a couple weeks ago. The last time we had sales that big was days before we got the Zamanita tax liability bomb shell. Good rise and fingers crossed. :) | tenapen

13/1/2013 19:04 | Cash Rich !. Zambeef Products Plc presented ZNBC with a cheque of K120 million for the live broadcast of the AFCON, saying it was a way of taking football to all corners of the country where the firm was also found. Zambeef Group head of public relations Justo Kopulande said the company was passionate about football and wanted all people who buy their products across the country to enjoy the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament. "Our aim is for that small boy and that poor guy in the remote part of Zambia who can not afford a television set to listen to the match live on radio. We do not want anyone to be left out but all to be part of the fun," he said. Kopulande said however that the ammount presented to ZNBC could easily escalate, adding that the total package for the Africa Cup from Zambeef stood at K210 million (KR210 000). ---------------- The court case resumes this week, fingers crossed. | tenapen
08/1/2013 13:38 | Hi, I have started a new ZAM thread, realy to highlight the Broker comment and the two new promo videos from Zambeef. Regards, | tenapen

04/1/2013 09:02 | Thanks Cyfran, Good to have you on this BB with facts rather than my gueses / C&Ps. Zambeef top stock buys for 2013 The broker also restated a "buy" rating on shares in Zambeef, the Zambia-based soyoil-to-butchers shops group, highlighting the increasing demand for meat in the fast-growing African country. With the International Monetary Fund forecasting a 9% rise in economic output per capita in Zambia this year, "this income growth should ensure that strong consumer demand for Zambeef's products continues, and in particular for key sources of protein such as beef, pork and chicken", Panmure said. "Zambeef's strong position in Zambian agribusiness, its high degree of vertical integration and the strong fundamental growth drivers of the Zambian consumer market underpin our forecasts for adjusted earnings per share to more than double between 2012 and 2015."
