14/3/2013 09:39 | Hi tenapen ! Greetings ! I think your analysis is correct and no real change in business prospects to account for the fall. I am still very bullish in the medium to long term. Good luck :) | multibagger
14/3/2013 08:36 | Morning Multibagger, everyone. Does anyone have any thoughts on the recient weakness in the share price ?. I have a few ideas and maybe it is a combination of all a; Booking a profit before the end of the tax year. b; The rise to 60p was on the whispers of the Rainbow Chicken deal. c; The chinese Governments attempt to calm the Chinese house price bubble, leading to less demand for ... copper which is Zambia's biggest export leading to slower growth for Zambia. d; General weakness / shorting of Agriculture in general as can be seen in the SP's of AGTA & LONR and often read about on Agrimoney.com e; the strong US $ Im still holding but did think about selling some at 60p, expecting a pull back, D'ho | tenapen
13/3/2013 07:35 | Good news for ZAM and us then...I would imagine that there are listed few companies with a track record like ZAM in the sector in Africa and hence a lot of money chasing a few companies. Augurs well :) I guess we should be hearing about the tax matter resolution/appeal over the next few weeks ? | multibagger

14/2/2013 07:57 | ZAM seems to be a big company in Zambia and my naive take is that the govt may be more sympathetic to their tax affairs, as I guess that there may be many stakeholders through govt pension funds etc. IMHO, It may not be politically astute for the tax authorities to really go after ZAM for minor transgressions, if any ...as ZAM could chose to move their operations given their widening footprint ? | multibagger
12/2/2013 20:08 | Good Luck to you Multibagger. Im thinking that zam will loose the case (guilty or not) BUT a deal will be done and the fine zam have to pay will be cut. The share price will edge down on the headline news but will recover soon after. I am usualy wrong and will be happy if i am wrong in my above thinking. One thing for certain, Investments in Africa will continue to grow in the years to come and ZAM will continue to be a good solid investment as they expand out of Zambia / Nigeria and Ghana. Regards | tenapen
12/2/2013 19:33 | Thanks tenapen for your post and link. My take on the tax issue is that the market has already discounted this. So if the appeal decsion is favourable then this will trigger a share price rise. I have moved some NANO profits into this. good luck :) | multibagger
12/2/2013 18:28 | Hi Multibagger, I agree with your post. I am happy with my holding just now on a risk reward / do not risk what you can not afford to loose basis. But i have a hunch the share price will edge down in the run up to the tax news, or on the news intself. IF it does fall i have money to invest. All possitive for African investments going forward !. Africa set to become the IFC's top investment destination, although risks remain BY Kate Douglas February 12, 2013 "At the IFC, we see the impact of Africa rising in our investments. From less than 10% of IFC's global investment portfolio only five years ago, today sub-Saharan Africa is the second largest region of investment for us and we project that in three years we will be investing more in sub-Saharan Africa than any other region in the world." 12/2/2013 16:22 | Picked up a few more today, the story and commercial prospects/potential is compelling, already profitable, good track record and my hunch is that the tax issue will be resolved in a manner that is not too harsh/ even favourable to ZAM - that should see a re-rating of the share price All IMHO :) | multibagger
