You got 2 to 3 Months hold . I am expecting some large private investors to start buying as well if all correct your talking multiple share price from here been over year now and back to where it was . Now there is more news out there about company progress even now this should be over 10p by now. Well hopefully it plays catch up as new investors come onboard for the ride not flippers . Plus this company is owned by at least 90% by private investors

You are so pessimistic(you would say realistic) that I have to be more upbeat

Listen to CB again

The grades aren`t brilliant they are not bad for surface mining and to cap it all they are in a mining friendly country.

No brainer calcs but do check them out for yourself YOUR CALCS were a long way out last time.

The boss aims to be able to sell 2 billion tons of resource which at o.25% should yield

5 million tons of copper which at $10000 and upwards per ton gives $ 50 billion

NPV will lower that because it would take 20 or more years to open cast mine but he should be able to sell it for at least $1 billion to a copper hungry big outfit. He`s working on it and I do appreciate that Ascot
results will be very important and affect the above but remember Ascot has gold ( and ssome Mo)as well

"The only time a miner's value would start to align with anything approaching reality is when professional investors or institutions get involved. And the latter won't invest in a small miner (because it won't be able to get a meaningful stake without pushing the price too high) until there is much more clarity (or unless someone who knows what he is doing - like another miner or an experienced investor - gets involved.) That doesn't seem to have happened yet."

The same might happen to XTR as happened to KIW (Kiwara), lurker5, back in 2009 before Colin Bird sold the company to First Quantum. Namely issuing shares to institutions via placings. This is the way CB got IFC (International Finance Corp) and NCIM (New City Investment Managers) on board. The NCIM stake was held in 2 of their listed investment trusts, CYN & GCL.

Given the limited drilling data and the only moderate grades, no one could have worked out Bushranger's production costs. And given its marginal profitability, the existing conceptual NPV wouldn't be much help. In any case, the share price is determined by buying and selling by, mostly, pi's with only a faint grasp of 'value'. The only time a miner's value would start to align with anything approaching reality is when professional investors or institutions get involved. And the latter won't invest in a small miner (because it won't be able to get a meaningful stake without pushing the price too high) until there is much more clarity (or unless someone who knows what he is doing - like another miner or an experienced investor - gets involved.) That doesn't seem to have happened yet.
And,lastly, don't forget that no buyer woud pay any NPV because to do so means he is paying away the 'profit' he would make when owning it. A NPV is only worth what it is to the owner, not to any buyer unless he gets it 'for free' !

I have just quickly scanned the LSE thread and I see the issue of what happens on the sale of Projectore, the vehicle that owns Bushranger, has been raised.

Firstly XTR should be funding Projectore through the intercompany account. When Projectore is sold the intercompany account should then be settled as part of the consideration and that will give XTR the funding to carry on exploration.

In my view Projectore should divest of any tennements that are not part of the AA arrangement and XTR wish to explore to another wholely owned stautory entity.

For the disposal process XTR issue shares in specie to all XTR share holders and the acquirer purchases those shares.

This will have the benefit that there is no disposal of Bushranger (ie no Capital Gain in Australia). The consideration received by shareholders is then a return of capital, avoiding any revenue taxes. UK shareholders will then be responsibkle for capital taxes. They can then use their CGT allowance should the shares be outside an ISA.

XTR should not be retaining any of the consideration for Bushranger, they simply do not have the structure to use the proceeds effectively. All the Bushranger development costs will be returned to XTR meaning that XTR will not be in the market for anymore funding and will be able to carry on exploration.

Much as we criticize day traders they do help make the market. In effect they are an element of the price lubricant.

What always fascinates me about the market - and XTR is no exception - is that any reasonable person could have worked out months ago an approximate value of the contained copper net of production costs. The only risk even then was a willing buyer (risk very low) and market risk (personal view), yet with 3 months or so to go until we should have an NPV for the mine and the start of the sale process, the market cap is still no where close to a pessimistic asset value.

As CMC has said on many occasions - research and patience are critical and he is right.

Thanks PAP

But like I said last week not made a bean yet still hold them actually added again on the drop this week with ARCM.
AMC the one that could really seriously multi bag been approached with a offer of 100m which equates to 7.2p a share price finished 3.75p today so possible 90% again but I believe they will be a improved offer, 30 billion in the ground nickel copper, TEO about to be released anytime this could well attract other bidders if one comes along this will make it real interesting still think a 15-20p plus bid will be needed for Robin to sell AMUR/ but on the other hand all could walk away and back down we go that's the name of the game staying till the end game with AMC and XTR loaded up here now let the story continue hope we all do very well here /// have a quality weekend AV.

O/T. Congratulations, avsome1968. You've doubled your money on ARCM in a month. A great buy. I wouldn't have had the balls to plough so much money into ARCM shares when you did. Hope it continues to go up for you. Let's hope you perform even better with your XTR shares in H1 2021.

Going by the stock exchange trades the small drop at the end was on very small volume. Most large trades throughout the day were buys. The stock exchange trade reports look more reliable and comprehensive than ADVFN or LSE

The 'closing price' as established by the result of the closing auction, ie the uncrossing trade, or UT is simply reporting a fact, and has no function. Tomorrows opening prices will emerge as market makers enter their respective bids and offers before the open. The highest offer and lowest bid out of all 7 or so market makers' positions will determine the spread at the open. Try and appreciated these facts.

Utter, utter bs. And writing OFFICIAL in caps does not make it official. Your concept of a closing price is a nonsense. As for the post you copied from lse, what utter, utter bs. What compels you to continually peddle such complete drivel? Do you ever consider that 95%+ of readers here do not post. They are not compulsive attention seekers like you.

Pap

Had a visitor so posted hastily and have now completed/revised my optimistic outlook above.

Good assays at Ascot and projected growth of the field size will encourage me to add.

RE: Closing Price Today 17:10
Seems like the MMs can put any old UT they please through at the end of the day to manipulate the closing price as they see fit
Makes a bit of a mockery of the closing price supposedly reflecting the day's trading, but what can you do? Maybe they will put a UT through on Monday evening for 9p, just because they can?"

The higher the XTR sp, Arcadian, the better! Anything above 20p is OK with me. If it is 50p, or even higher, I definitely won't be complaining!! 😁

I prefer to set my target on the low side, so anything above that is an added bonus. On the other hand if you set your target on the high side then if it is not achieved it can result in disappointment.

I can see you love the conspiracy theories concerning the MM's, goforgold1! Forget them! Both the chart and fundamentals say the XTR share price is only going one way and that's up. Forget the intraday fluctuations as nothing goes up in a straight line. They'll always be profit taking along the way up.
The closing price shown on the charts in the header is based on a small UT auction trade @ 4:35p. The OFFICIAL MM spread @ the close was 6.20-6.50p so if no RNS is issued before 8am on Monday the share price will open @ 6.35p on Monday, according to advfn.
The share price opened at 6p this morning (as predicted by yesterday's closing spread of 5.9-6.1p), so there was a rise in the share price today of 0.35p.
It's all immaterial anyway, goforgold1, as the short, medium & long term trend for XTR is UP, going by both the fundamentals and chart.
