Paps, copper prices will be very relevant when it comes to selling a resource.

I had a quick scan of the article.

Just for avoidance of doubt China is still growing at 4 to 5% as indicated by the power shortages.

If COP26 is absolute fantasy land and Goverments have no intention of meeting objectives, then the demand side of the equation might be correct.

The poll does not appear to be supported by current inventory evidence (and if manufacturers are hoarding it is because they believe that there will be a shortage), nor the supply/demand analysis.

Nothing a global recesssion could not resolve!

Ah ha I have found the fatal flaw in BEN, the off take agreement for the coal is variable and tracks a global index so there is no guarantee what profits it will make. I dont see it making a loss but simply multiplying its hoped for output times the current mett coal price is being optimistic.

The AIM-quoted company said the agreement is for approximately 22,000 US Short ton of product per month for an initial twelve-month period starting from January. The deal covers about 50% of the anticipated production volumes of the company's proposed annual production under its existing mine plan.

Integrity was founded in 1990 and is a supplier of U.S. metallurgical coal to the global marketplace.

The sales price agreed by the 2 companies will be closely linked to the Metallurgical Coal Assessment Index, which is published by S&P Global Platts daily. For example, on October 19, the price was $305 per metric tonne, with the equivalent cost for a short ton being $277.

O/T Best of luck with BEN, gfg1. Do you know what happened to the previous Adam Wilson USA coal vehicle, ATC? It's been suspended for over 5 years. The share price was just 0.09p when it was suspended. It peaked at 2p around 10 years ago after it shot up after being ramped to high heaven on a pump and dump operation. Don't believe me? Look at the ATC chart from 2009.

PS ATC was linked to CICC, another fantasy company, that was suspended from AIM (and then delisted) over 7 years ago

No i would not i would watch and see how China comes out of a recession. There are so many big projects in the pipe line in China . Which will need huge amounts of steel and copper . These are billion dollar projects plus Coal is in very big demand again hence my investment in BEN . Yesterday

gfg - I think that the shareholder base is far firmer than it has ever been. This is a far steadier ship. It would be nice to see the first insight into the SE anomaly and that will be the seminal heading to 1Bn moment - if it is!

So far the drills and assay have been outstanding and at some point XTR will have a sale of the existing resource.

All in Eol, just saw your post on Aaz. If you want a divi stock then you should choose the following M&G, Directline or if yo want a miner, then Paf as they just issued a final divi of near 6% yes final of 6% higher than Aaz total and is full list.

Of course it is possible the large trade was a sell and the seller was taking advantage of the enthusiasm generated by the positive RNS issued on Thursday afternoon, an enthusiasm that no doubt would have carried over into Friday.
Unfortunately we are left to guess whether a particular large, delayed, late, reported trade is a buy, or sell.

Yes, TD, that trade was timed at 9:14am yesterday morning probably when the last tranche of it was finally completed. The earlier tranches having likely been worked throughout Friday. The quoted price would have been the average price paid for all of the tranches. It must have been a buy and no doubt accounts for Friday's rising price, otherwise we could have seen the share price fall on Friday as punters took profits (the volume was very high on Friday even before taking into account this large trade). If profit taking punters were out in force on Friday and were absorbed by this large trade then that could account for the subsequent price stability of yesterday and today.

So it was! But nonetheless booked after COP this evening.

The dark arts of the market makers in evidence! I used to obsessively look into this sort of thing when I used Level 2 a lot to trade, thinking I was gaining some kind of useful knowledge. In reality it never made a blind bit of difference.

The 2,250,000 is a chunkier buy and it looks as if it was worked. While only anecdotal it suggests that XTR may be attracting a wider audience. Generally a good sign.

Unless there are more buys, or an outstanding assay the next real news is the first official drill into the SE anomaly.

Having posted recently on language at last weeks informal event (inferred resource x 3 or 4 (July) to 1BT ore) from reports of the formal meeting it is back to 2MT. Just a thought this was a formal shareholder meeting which may explain the change, but notice that it has gone from inferred resource x 3 or 4 to 2MT. If they were unable to use 2MT in July, they are using it now, and they are relying on the inferred resource because presumably they cannot mention the SE anomoly because there are no official drill results.

We should know shortly.

Onething- nice posts - the large trade you referred to was filled yesterday morning and judging from the spread at the time, it was a buy. No doubt it had to be worked through by the MM’s but it demonstrates considerable confidence at this stage.

Oh and one other thing. I tend to be wary of those who excessively blow their own trumpet. Too much hubris shown is NOT to be trusted. Most people who have worked in senior positions in the City wouldn’t even bother with these boards. They really wouldn’t.
