The dividend is paid Friday to holders at ex dividend date. Anyone who sells this week will still receive it.

Adam1978 - just because they raised cash a few months ago does not mean that they need to spend it straight away.

This wont be dropping this week dividend is being paid....

Obviously immaterial in terms of purchase price, and probably financial impact as well. A major acquisition cant be far off now given the Jan equity raising

Ory Weihs, Chief Executive Officer of XLMedia, commented:

"We are delighted to have acquired such a well-regarded UK brand. WhichBingo fits perfectly into our strategy of acquiring high quality assets across regulated markets.

"We continue to see a healthy pipeline of acquisition opportunities as we seek to both strengthen and broaden our market reach during 2018."

If you've built a position you don't want to sell for tax or liquidity reasons, you can short it while it falls and loose nothing if your position is neutral. As opposed to sitting there loosing 30% + on paper while it goes through a period like this.

What's the point of going long and short on a stock ? only the middle men end up winners over the long-term with that game....

busterdog. Ory has been buying his sahres, not cashing them. Buys shares on the market and the team has grown the business slowly.

Worth bearing in mind this tweet from David @Carmensfella

The best performing small companies are generally led by entrepreneurial founders with material commitment to the business & retaining a large equity stake. Worst tend to be greedy directors who build by acquisition, rarely buy shares & cash options regularly. Investors beware😞

Why not? To keep shareholders up to date perhaps, you know how most companies do. And I'm not talking the company down you prat, but yes I still have my short which you made fun of when we went upto 168. I want this ship to turn north, but apprently despite an eroding share price the which deal is competitive irrelevant to share with shareholders. I mens any goods news like that should just be totally ignored I suppose. What is so bad about wanting a company to keep shareholders up to date with activities like the which deal, I mean the site who did report felt it was worthy of news so why not xlm.

Stock is down so Pazzuzu is back, are you running a short again?

why would Xl media need a twitter account do you actually understand the company?

Well the unofficial twitter for xlm lasted long, nice to know they are on point to pull down twitter accounts rather than actually have one. I think this is all laughable and I know many won't agree with me here. I just think a closer relationship to their shareholders is more conducive than what we currently have. Even if the which bingo isn't rns worthy, how about just a bit of an update on maybe say a twitter account!
