01/10/2009 12:27 | Getting some breath back today before the big leap by the looks of it today | yangou
30/9/2009 20:56 | Big late bounce later still.. going to 630-650, IMO. | hectorp
30/9/2009 20:06 | Thats better, sugar, good recovery today. | hectorp
29/9/2009 20:26 | I don't know what to make of that article. I think its a bullish one, is all I can add. Where does 66 cents a pound, relate to a price of '617' on London sugar. I dont even know what the 617 is! pounds per tonne? You tell me. I'm playing this blind, chartist only. The charts good, stuff the fundies. 20%, 30% more yet? search me! That would be excellent I'd make around £6-10K. Bet I dont though. | hectorp
29/9/2009 10:44 | I am watchin sugar 11 at $24.52 to buy. So you think there will be an at least a 14% rise short term? So what do you think about that article on Bloomberg that was posted by bobdouthwaite? | yangou
29/9/2009 10:26 | Yes Yangou. I'll target 14% rise from here, now the 1-hour and indeed 10 year resistance has broken upside now ( London sugar 607 now). But anything is possible in a spike, even 1000-1200 , or +40% more. Seems the Brasil sugar will be down due to heavy rains, too. I need to convert this into lbs /dollars, find that very hard! We may get a further rise when the Chicago futures markets open. | hectorp
29/9/2009 09:57 | Good idea Hectorp. Once we have those nice profits of the rise .Then if quick enough to short the drop. Except not so long to wait for the profits on the drop. | yangou
29/9/2009 09:20 | hectorp, doesn't the market open at 9:45 - at least that's what Tradefair states? or is 600 your prediction? | gdennett
29/9/2009 08:52 | SUGAR London opens over 600. | hectorp
28/9/2009 18:25 | I have no objextion to the big fast drop when it comes. After all we could short sugar then. The chart could be good for the 600's in a day or so, because resistance has gone again.. I got back in long this AM . | hectorp
28/9/2009 17:16 | I think the fast big drop will be the case after reading all the info i have read. So lets hope we can get out quick. Today been jiggling with some spread bets on it and looking to sell some etfs to pay for this and my monthly bills. Thinking of selling more to buy more of the bets.Would rather have done options but my provider wont accept more funds. But lets get our belts on for an exciting ride . Have your parachuted ready for the bail out when it comes | yangou
04/9/2009 09:58 | Near term he calls MAY? This isn't Investment Trust investing! Short term of 4-8 weeks will do me. HE may of course be right. _ I see Sugar has drifted below my favoured 1-hour chart support, at 559. So I won't be buying again until or if it rallies above that figure. Took profits last week at 580-90 level. | hectorp
03/9/2009 16:42 | Drifted down 15 today to around support ( ie rising support level) Will have a look friday, if it holds, then 40 points to be had retesting 600. Not to be chased however. | hectorp
01/9/2009 15:34 | Brazil sugar harvest may be less than expected also.. Plus, Indians ( not amazonian ones, Punjabi type Indians) are hoarding sugar.. The Indians go through a load of it. If its being hoarded, more imports still will be sucked in to what is an apparent dearth. | hectorp
01/9/2009 14:21 | .. and drops back to Friday close. Chance to add methinks. added, and its since put on 8 again. Lovely to watch too. | hectorp
01/9/2009 09:39 | Sugar hits 600.. upside to 30 cents /lb according to the writer of the article here. thats another 30% approx. You could in fact pick any number. The final spike could be 800-900-1000. | hectorp
01/9/2009 09:20 | ...but a much larger Indian deficit than post 145 (up from 5.75 to 7 million tonnes) | bobdouthwaite
01/9/2009 08:58 | Sugar in london is up over 4%.. hit 600.. where will it end September... These 20 year spikes always? take it to new places . Perhaps there is 20% more upside yet. | hectorp
31/8/2009 18:11 | I propose so, also my cash is on the barrel here, so fingers are crossed it is a slight gamble. If market sectors are weak in September, some interest could shift to trading sugar long also. | hectorp
31/8/2009 14:01 | That's a good overview Hectorp, suggesting the story still has some time to run. | bobdouthwaite
30/8/2009 22:20 | Incredible, breakout | notanewmember2 |
