" 13th May 2011 M&A activity picking up in promising agribusiness sector Extract ' With demand for Ukrainian farming and food businesses destined to grow in pace with global food demand, experts predict that international agribusiness groups from the West and as far away east as China will in coming years sharply boost their presence in Ukraine via M&A transactions. With such dynamics at play, Ukraine's agribusiness sector is on course for a period of consolidation that could, in turn, bring in the billions of U.S. dollars in fresh investment that are needed to turn this nation once described as the "Breadbasket of Europe" into a top world food supplier. 08/1/2009 13:49 | I am waiting for a pullback on this and ones like it. | hazelton
25/3/2008 20:21 | For those of you who read Moneyweek, here's a supposedly defensive stock they tipped back in September 2007. Tipped at 17, now 10.85. I almost invested in it but was put off by various lawsuits: Biovail was accusing hedge funds of concerted shorting attacks (moneyweek did not mention this):- | dasv
16/3/2008 15:47 | I'm guessing support at 420 then below that about 390. | dasv
16/3/2008 15:36 | technically this chart is looking a bit dodgy... could be some serious retracement short-term to correct the hyper rise of late. | brando69
16/3/2008 14:27 | dasv , I agree with you about buy and hold in AIM. I did well out of TAN but WNG and a few others just died while I held. Others that I had sold soon fell to bits. I think that there is a time for buy and hold but its not with AIM shares at the top of a bull market. Does anyboby know much about these leveraged versions of grain commodities like LAGR and LGRA ($versions) behave like ? H | hazelton
16/3/2008 01:46 | Same here dasv. That is my intention. | chrismcglone
15/3/2008 17:21 | My original intention in investing here was to hedge against devaluation of USD and GBP (I believe GBP will go the same was as USD in 2008 :( and we will end up with 1:1 parity with the Euro). In the end it turned out to be a rather more volatile investment than I had predicted and so took profit when the chart started to look precipitous. I would however be interested in re-entering lower in due course. | dasv
15/3/2008 13:53 | Meant to add, i know it's 'old' news but contacts i have in the Middle East and Asia have informed me that it may be about to rear it's head big time. Still haven't taken a position here by the way so not ramping. | chrismcglone
15/3/2008 13:49 | Commodities in general still have a long. long way to go for a variety of reasons. Here's just one which may have a major impact on wheat. | chrismcglone
