16/4/2018 18:40 | No dodging or ducking. Bought at £1 and sold at a profit. Down over 15% I think you will find now. So, if you think that is a success in a bull market then I would encourage you to look around for something at the right end of the performance table. Otherwise, just invert the WPCT 180 share chart degrees and it still looks a little worse than mid-table. | topvest
16/4/2018 17:38 | Well done, However what I am talking about is the slightly longer term Problems this trust could find itself in due to some relatively Questionable investment decisions, imv. | elmfield
16/4/2018 16:14 | Harijan (interesting choice of name), which Tom are you addressing? | pediment
16/4/2018 14:49 | Cheers Solonic. Vietnam is a great investment over the next few years. Of the three funds, VEIL, VOF and VNH, I hold the first two, but will add VNH on a dip. | andyj
16/4/2018 13:04 | Well done andyj. That was a pure one in the eye for the stupid trolls, who know nothing. BTW you piqued my interest in Vietnam which qualifies here as a frontier market, I think. I bought a thousand VEIL shares as a mainly ignorant punt, as if it were a horse in the Grand National. We'll see what transpires. LOL | solonic
16/4/2018 06:18 | Having bought at 74p, I was not expecting such a quick return of 14% in a matter of weeks. I had expected to hold for several years but its hard to see the momentum being maintained as it nears the quoted NAV. As WPCT falls under the growth section of my portfolio it has done its job and I take profits, thank you NW, and move on to areas which I feel will offer greater growth from here. The profits will be moved to my income section and reinvested. Good luck all. | andyj
15/4/2018 21:09 | Yeah but who makes a better margarita??? | ltcm1
15/4/2018 18:07 | Well the jump in the share price here is surprising. A sustained improvement or last chance to get out before you lose your shirt? That’s the big question I suppose! | topvest
15/4/2018 16:06 | Oh dear, somebody on the Purp thread called you a failed fund-manager! Can that be right? If it is I suppose you passed the cost of your many failures on to your customers. I pity even more the deluded folk who actually pay real money (scarcely believe) for your rather witless share tip sheet. | solonic
14/4/2018 14:22 | Round my crib I can still pull some shapes to Thriller and Billy Jean, and The Reflex. All Night Long. I suggest all doubters, naysayers and Woody worshippers "Beat It". | ltcm1
13/4/2018 23:31 | Is English your native language, Tom? | harijan
13/4/2018 21:03 | 84.9 UT, so close but unfortunately it seems the onanistic indulgences will have to wait until next week, damn eh. Have a lovely weekend everyone. Xx | pediment
13/4/2018 18:49 | All that is mindless sophistry, Tom, and you know it. There is, alas for you, the very incovenient FACT that I and the other more intelligent guys here are sitting on at least a 16% rise on our newest investments, mostly documented at the time near the all-time bottom, and mine, at least, very substantial. This was in the teeth of a concerted noisy personal attack against all things Woodford from yourself and your assorted avatars and minions. As we thought at the time it was all very silly nonsense on your part and totally impotent and fruitless. I have to say that, in my opinion, the attack was also totally corrupt and you may well live to regret that. I and the other clever blokes, not all by any means graduates of the same alma mater as you, me, TAM and kpo, will no doubt be considering what the next step is over the weekend. I have a smaller tranche bought in the low 80s (already in 'profit' now) which I almost certainly will hang on to for a very long time. Meanwhile I have to make the short term decision (which, by the way, I dare say, I am much better qualified to take than you.) very soon. When was the last time, if ever, that YOU honestly, I repeat honestly, made on your own account this type of gain in such a short time? (Minerve will doubtless boast that he does it every week, LOL). Please don't tell me because we are all fed up with your constant lying. Although in general terms it is far from being a rarity, judging from what you have been peddling on your 'sheet' it has to be a long long time for you personally, doesn't it? | mochyn
13/4/2018 18:44 | On a positive note the asset price according to the company is up half a penny on the week. | elmfield
13/4/2018 18:29 | Big news. RM2 has sold a pallet to a Fortune 500 company. Blimey....must be worth billions then! 😎 | topvest
13/4/2018 17:17 | Mochyn this is just it - it's always the clever guys that get taken in by the Woodfords of this world. Junk bonds, Madoff, the dot com bubble, are all examples of how clever people lost fortunes through mistaken investing decisions. Doctors and dentists are some of the biggest PI losers in the States. Woodford is hoodwinking y'all with his alphamale guns 'n' biceps, the horseriding and the doubtless glamorous wife/partner. Can't believe you are taken in by the SAS image, the 'I've been doing this for 30 years', 'we've bought in very cheap in all these companies', they are proven concepts blah blah blah. He has got the gift of the gab I'll give him that. He's clearly had training, he can do soft and gentle aswell as strong and stable. Seeing as he's from Exeter the guy should be leading the Lib Dems not running an investment fund! Guys what he omits to say is he based WPCT solely on his Allied Minds investing experience. And look how that turned out!!! Woodford is in the 90% club at ALM but is still throwing out blue sky platitudes about WPCT. Perhaps it will happen who knows but the point is you are backing a guy with a shocking track record in this field. An investment into WPCT is like putting a bet on Usain Bolt in the 1500 metres. Or as Woodford might like to say - Horses for Courses!!! | ltcm1
13/4/2018 15:37 | Sorry TAM, couldn't resist it! Had to put an honest bloke in there somewhere.... | mochyn |
