21/2/2024 15:54 | All very well ico, keep going, but this investment is dead in the water, and you may know it only too well They can't shake off debt issues, further legacy charges, the money has been made here, best to move on They rejected a healthy offer only to crash again, no guarantees Wood will survive going forward. £8 - 1 Billion, theres no cash left. | chutes01
21/2/2024 08:19 | Our Chutes is back! Thank god. I've been waiting for them to pop up. They're my most reliable signal that the price here is heading back up. | iconista
20/2/2024 23:49 | Wood won't pay a divi for this year, Ken & co are too busy filling pockets with cash to give two hoots about shareholders. Massive bonus' due end April, share options continue to dilute. Watson almost bankrupted this one £8 Billion Co. There is no way back now, it's over. | chutes01
20/2/2024 22:43 | Jsg123, Sharepad is forecasting dividends of 0.45p for 2023, 1.76p for this year, 2.07p for 2025. However, given that net debt is slightly above expectations and, as you say, they are just outside the planned leverage ratio, the 0.45p for this year may be optimistic. | gargoyle2

20/2/2024 20:24 | The fact remains that if you poo poo a takeover offer of £2.20 then you have to make bloody sure that the share price is above that 12 months later otherwise you were wrong. | dexdringle
20/2/2024 20:18 | Gargoyle Thanks fir that thought, they're slightly above 1.5. I was trying to ascertain if a dividend reinstatement might come at FY or whether they will wait until they are clearly within that range. Chutes disgruntled ex employee, didn't they just raise their revenue and earnings guidance for this year. Muppet | jsg123
20/2/2024 19:34 | First thing Apollo would have done is show the front door to Gilmartin and his cronies Back to 100p here, £700M valuation more than generous. | chutes01

20/2/2024 17:48 | Jsg123 - the year end update had EBITDA and net debt figures, so you should be able to do the sums from those, I think. | gargoyle2

17/1/2024 16:00 | Yes: "John Wood Group is expected to restart dividend payments this year after it posted a better than expected performance in 2023. The FTSE 250 engineering consultancy said revenue will be up about 9 per cent to $6 billion with growth across all of its business units. As a result, underlying profit is on course to also increase by 9 per cent and be slightly ahead of forecasts at $425 million. Wood, which has its headquarters in Aberdeen, said its order book was at $6.1 billion. Ken Gilmartin, the chief executive who took over in the summer of 2022, said he was “pretty pleased” with the performance and expects further improvements this year. About 40 per cent of Wood’s bidding pipeline is now for contracts in what it described as sustainable solutions, which includes energy transition, decarbonisation and renewable energy. Analysts at Investec said a dividend payment was likely for 2024. Wood’s shareholder payments have been suspended since the early months of the pandemic. Gilmartin said capital allocation and returns to shareholders are discussed regularly at board level and would continue to be so. The shares were up 4½p, or 2.9 per cent, at 157p." | gargoyle2
