13/5/2023 07:44 | Thermosolar Heat ExchangersIn the early 70's, before solar power became mainstream, Wood worked with the US Department of Energy to design and develop the first concentrated thermal solar power plants. Since then we have been involved in solar steam generating projects for most of the utility-scale thermal solar projects in the world, totalling over 50 projects.Today, in addition to offering individual steam cycle thermal components such as feedwater heaters, preheaters, evaporators, superheaters, reheaters and condensers, we also offer the entire steam generating island on a turn-key basis for both parabolic trough and tower solar thermal power plants.Heat exchangersWell supported by our thermal product experience we supply the best solutions for shell and tubes heat exchanger. With a detailed flow stream analysis (including process chemical elements) and finite element stress and vibration analysis we provide a full range of HX equipment such as: reheater, shutdown cooler for nuclear generating station, economiser for solar power plant. | dipa11

12/5/2023 08:05 | Different story here the management have been fine tuning the bid for months as they thought Apollo were in the right ballpark price wise at THG the bid was not in the right ballpark to start fine tuning it clearly. | pogue

11/5/2023 13:49 | @pogue, presumably the bit about WG trading in line with expectations and momentum remaining good, i.e. no nasty surprises for the bidder. | gargoyle2

11/5/2023 10:28 | yes but which part of the RNS prompted you to say that? | pogue
11/5/2023 09:26 | I didn't say that, I said a takeover was confirmed as likely. I.e. more likely than not offer will be formalised | ayl30

03/5/2023 15:52 | 2 weeks until buy out, 240p One of the biggest muggings ever witnessed on the market Robin Watson and Stewart complicit in robbing LTH, corporate theft, legalised behind the 'shield' of incompetence. Cost shareholders billions, strange how SIW has kept quiet through all this, it's not like him ... | chutes01
17/4/2023 15:38 | Ignore that. Was not stagecoach. I bought national express. Apologies. | weaverbeever
17/4/2023 15:34 | Rightly or wrongly I've sold out today chaps. 226 ish. Happy enough as made good money here as bought 3 times circa 140. 160 & 180 ish. Been a decent day as I also hold a wod of THG. Makes up for super dry nightmare last week. I bought some TEK and stagecoach today also. Good luck all holders. I like to see people doing well and having success. | weaverbeever
17/4/2023 12:28 | very interesting thanks for that on THG. I notice the RNS does not indicate a bid price. Could be the same as here low bid then increase it a little to satisfy honour. | pogue
17/4/2023 12:15 | Apollo also now launching bid for THG. They are certainly on the acquisitions trail! | brucethegoldfish
17/4/2023 12:01 | Apollo in for THG now-hope theyre not spending money meant for here | wynmck
17/4/2023 10:45 | The incompetence of management is the same across the sector EPCs always buy other EPCs when the market is high, Apollo who are business people clearly know a bargain. If you want to compare SPs 6 years ago Saipem was nearly 13 euros now its 1.49 euros a share. The market is at the bottom all EPCs are bombed out WG management did the same as others did before them. Something to remember about the sector when we do go back up any EPC buying another is a bad deal lol, mind you there will only be one EPC left on UK stock market when WG go and I am not that sure I want to buy PFC shares again for a variety of reasons. | pogue
17/4/2023 10:42 | Watson and Stewart utterly incompetent Should be seen in court with the money they took | chutes01 |
