short on dec dow 9447 from friday, stop loss at 9390 but i feel it has furthur to drop over the next couple of days. also short on dec euro/yen 10970.

Closed dec nas short for a few quid , placed that trade at the same time as my big loss on the Dow , moral of the tale - pay the extra spread and live to fight another day?
Would have recovered dow losses today if i had been on the dec dow instead , and been brave enough to let it run of course!

Hi Justin,

After much deliberation [and pain] I have settled on "int" 5 and "len" 5. I use 20 as oversold and 80 as overbought.

The 20 has been reliable tonight. Normally I use it as an indicator as when not to buy/sell [as the run is at an end] but as it is slow tonight I've noticed that under 20 has been a decent entry level, but only for a handful of points as the trend has obviously been so negative.

If you look at those settings on Quote.com the pattern tonight is very clear.

Russell what time frame are you using I generally use 5 min chart set at 7 day rsi and switch to 1min from time to time

Fins has improved notably overt the last 30 mins or so - maybe they're reading.

i am amazed the dow is down so much and not even started any kind of recovery or reducing some losses. -226 at moment.
I can confirm once again fins trade requests seem within normal time range.

Iam writing this as the Dow is dropping and leaving myself open to be wrong but so far today the RSI settings I use for Daily Dow trading have been useful.

On the downside as soon as it drops below 20 a turn around has followed fairly soon. I noticed the lowest it dropped to was 12 briefly.

Worth having a look on your chart as the pattern is regular.

Ben , last time i tried it was useless but as spats says it is back to normal now.
Jutin - 21 better than 50 i suppose , still holding nas short.
