From a recent Sun article:

According to the Oxford Home School Trust, who obtained figures under the Freedom of Information Act, between 2006 and 2016, the number of home educated children increased from 8,361 to 38,573.

The the figure is now expected to be nearly 50,000.

I've often found the Sun to be more accurate then most other media outlets. Its saying in the two years since 2016 the growth rate has become spectacular

It's a big poster for Interhigh.

I usually walk too, but got the tube yesterday for speed. Ha ha. Should have walked.

Thanks Verulamium - that is good news (I dont go on tube to work I walk from mainline station - but millions do take the tube and look at the pictures as the slowly go up the escalators.
This could be the BIG ONE .... It worked wonders for BooHoo (tube advertising in London) - sent them into the billion pound bracket (I'm not kidding). Of course education is very different to clothing - but advertising dividends might be similar - who knows?

Are the ads for the language school or for InterHigh?

I suspect the language school market amongst Londons teaming non-english population could be HUGE.

Anyone mentioned the adverts on the tube? There’s a well-positioned poster at Oxford Circus, Victoria line southbound. Under Sadiq Khan tube ads now provide much better value for money, what with the trains only arriving every 5 minutes rather than every 90 seconds like they did 2 years ago.

This link sort of explains why WEY Educations plans for China might work better then opening schools in China. Teaching individual lessons over the net seems a more realistic goal

net,

It certainly will be interesting. I know that initial interest was higher than the company was anticipating.

On another note, the Quoralexis website looks very professional imo and I think new content has been added.

The following information on the different class sizes is given on the ‘Mode of Delivery’ page:

Students can join a Regular Group (maximum number of students is 8) or study in a Small Group (maximum number of students is 4). The option to study on a One-to-One basis is also available and is a popular choice amongst our clients.’

Bring on the Chinese JV!

Hi sonie01: I have noticed over the years many shares over shoot and then slowly claw their way back to previous highs - but takes a while.

My target for this share is about £5 to £10 a share but over years (plural) , perhaps as long a decade!!!

The next target is to break back above 22p (the special offer price). I believe 22p is a realistic target price for 6 to 12 months provided some good news on numbers or similar ...

For us to get back over 40p I think we would need at least 18 months AND something to REALLY shout about......

Think clawing your way to 18p first... That is base camp for a recovery. So far we're still a long way from the base camp . ... 2p - thats a lot at this stage.

Someone didn't like my last post - just for that one person - I write positive sometimes to provoke someone to write the ALTERNATIVE view - it would be nice rather then just giving me a minus 1 to give me an explanation as to why my post was incorrect?

bones: an interesting point.... For a rapidly/ballistically growing internet stock its getting to a point re the share price, where WEYs NET CASH is now about 25% of its market cap....

To say that WEY is now cheap (relative to its cash pile and potential ) would probably be an understatement of some magnitude

No name change. The RNS referred to Livingbridge. I assume Baronsmead is some kind of legal owner on behalf of the beneficial owner?

bigboyblue,

There is no change, this is Livingbridge VC and the share numbers are the same as before (see header above). Their % has reduced below 21% presumably due to some share issues under options or other obligation.
