There’s a current positive RNS & the company is supporting Coronavirus impact overseas. Catalysts for growth and share price improvement. If anywhere is benefitting from COVID19 it’s the online education space. Now & in future years through cheap acquisition of new customers

I see that they have stopped advertising for Permie teachers but are adverting for contractors - this makes sense, as not possible to say how long the crisis will last.

The downside for us investors is that its now impossible to say what their head count is. It could be absolutely massive or more or less the same - no way of knowing.

Yes, but good to know that they've responded promptly to the situation, even if we weren't uppermost in their thoughts. Far too early to guess the effect on bottom line figures, but perhaps an rns this week setting out their plans?

Thanks bigboyblue: Thats my point! That is the first inkling we get that WEY are helping in China (a market we did not even know they were currently in).

Agree Net. Clearly Wey are expecting some sort of impact, this is from the Academy 21 website:

I'm happy for them to focus 100% of their efforts in helping minimise educational disruption to children.

I think its possible that WEY should actually give investors some advice (news) as to IF and HOW the Coronavirus is affecting WEYs business. Clearly WEY does not want the share price to run away but also it does not want investors to lose heart in a market that is turning into a recession. I think we might need more information next week or week after.

From Guardian: The Italian Government is evaluating the possibility of prolonging the closure of schools until 3 April (they are already closed for first 2 weeks of March).

Too risky Ameretto, wouldn’t touch that one, this one has strong management as as 74tom explains above, compelling reasons to be invested for the long term but everyone dyor and due diligence

Thanks 74tom, a most informative and useful analysis
