That is quite a large buy

bones: it would be good if you can add the TRADES to the image in your header (like you did for the AOR header). Could you edit the image so it includes the trades? Cheers John

Updated the header for the latest WH Ireland broker numbers and latest significant shareholders list. I’ve dumped some of the extant older information.

Cyberbub, that was mine. Decided to dip a big toe once again. Chart looks good for a breakout but apart from that I hope revenues continue to expand which should have a magnified effect on operating profit. Hopefully, exceptional costs are history. My only reservation is the share sale by the CEO so I hope the institutional demand reason given is genuine.

cyberbub: could be the provisional numbers starting the January term are looking good?

The results were published some weeks back.My main concern is the doubling of director remuneration, and why admin expenses are well over £3M for a small company. Other than that they look OK, positive cashflow and into a small profit (which would have been higher apart from the exceptional costs). There are a series of 'Other' liabilities but note 18 shows that these are all OK, IMO.Nice buy of 100k at 13p today...NAI

From our experience it's the British born Asians that are doing the best, and certainly not the EU immigrants (mainly). Scotland's got an abysmal government, if you haven't noticed

verulamium: Its difficult to compare world rankings as there are many different variables. For example our cohort of 18 year olds is smaller than normal and over 10 years the trend of small family size must have gone through the entire school system. Also over the past 10 years we've had a large intake of EU citizens into our schools compared to children from other world locations - this also will affect results. I dont think you can do simplistic international comparisons. All they might show is Polish/greek/portugese/spanish/italian migrant children are doing really well. Scotland with less migrant children has done worse in education.

Have you seen how UK schools have climbed up the world rankings in the last 10 years Net? My wife teaches in the private sector and knows what it's like, consequently we use the state sector for our son (though admittedly we might not if we lived in a different area). I'd agree that a Tory victory is great news for WEY though - but then it's great news for most companies and people.

With a Con victory private school sector is a distinct winner.

Premier Miton (the result of merger between Miton and Premier Asset) declare that they own just over 5%.

That appears to be a 6M share reduction from the previous disclosure by Miton Group at end of August that they owned 10% and were reducing then. Miton were heavy sellers of many small cap shares before the merger due to their cash issues with investors chasing redemptions.

The RNS today is misleading because it shows “N/A” for Premier Miton’s previous holding. The question now is whether Premier Miton will continue selling or do they now hold on as the heat is off for them following the merger?

DaveMac3: That is not as interesting as who bought the shares - I guess that is the bit of the jigsaw that is missing.

International Partnerships...
I'm slightly confused here, i thought InterHigh had pulled out of this market. But if you go to InterHigh's website they devote a lot of web space and marketing effort to this segment of the market.
This page for example:

Also this:
DELIVERING QUALITY EDUCATION TO TOP STUDENTS IN CHINA
Ulink Education Group is the leader of K12 education in China. We helped Ulink deliver The Cambridge International School’s curriculum A-Level courses to some of their top students. CAIE curriculum sets a global standard for education and is recognised by universities and employers worldwide.

So are we still in the global market or are we only UK?

ULink is a very big deal:

Have ULink bought shares in Wey?

JUnderwood, that sale was on an RNS on 26th November. The RNS stated that institutions have taken up the slack. I don’t have facts on why the Daniells are reducing but as they are around late 50’s/early 60’s (I think) and have been doing this for 15 years, maybe they want to cash in some of their chips with retirement on the cards in a few years time? I don’t know the answer though.

Any thoughts on Jacqueline Daniell selling 21% for £309k? According to simply Wall Street.
