I agree but I expect the valuation to increase and everything else. They are extremely busy and are growing again.

isis, although I sgree with your view on the important community aspect that pubs provide, particularly for some older customers, that has little relevance to stock marlet valuation.

The Lavazza Coffee machines used by Spoons are top of the Range. You can see the Coffee Beans in the top, also the Hot Chocolate is very good too.
They really only use the best quailty and more expensive stuff - Not alot of people know that, especially those that don't go in them!

Seedoftongo. If you do not appreciate Gozzie’s posts please filter him.Bountyhunter requested several times that you trefrain from continuing your vendetta on this thread but to no avail. It has become irritating and tiresome.

Gozza wont have that though .
It’s his view or nothing .
He sees a full pub or a busy shop and think that’s it.
He doesn’t stop to think about margins on various products .
Watch him try to back out of this latest mistake …

Ok , but keep to Wetherspoons information instead of putting a fantasy story spin on everything .
It looks kinda desperate the way you try to always grab attention .
Make a post but leave the personal stuff out .

Don't know any Yates in London. Spoons win hands down, always consistently busy.
They seem to be more popular than ever lately, you never know what you're gonna get hit with in a lot of London Pubs now for Food and Drink. Definitely have to do a bit of planning!
Mate got charged £8.50 for a Pint in Putney last Night!

You don’t need to say you are out drinking if you want to quote the prices Steve.
Always trying to make a story out of everything .

I was just saying if they advertised the coffee refills at that price and every table was full of coffee drinkers ,they would be losing money ?They best keep it quiet lol ?

I've just had 2 vintage pear ciders in Wetherspoons and an unlimited coffee refill for 7.60 ?I've ventured to Yates because I'm watching Man City later and it's cost 14.63 for an Old Mout Cider A pint of Lager and lime and an Appetiser. It's empty and Spoons was full again ?I wonder why lol ?Happy hour 4 until 8 thank the lord ??

The last two visits to my local 'spoons' it was full (all ages). We struggled to get a table, and it was lunchtime !! I wonder if JDW has thought of how to resolve this 'popularity problem' ? If I had a say I would keep food prices the same for say Sun to Tues then a small uplift for the remainder of the week with alcoholic drinks unchanged all week and say a small uplift of hot beverages / soft drink pricing. This flex pricing would balance things out and the price of a pint will stay as cheap as chips (well not the Wed - Sat chips :-) ) Thoughts anyone ?

Edit .... More labour is involved in food preparation and serving and clearing and with the cost of minimum wage rising 1/4 this could be the reason for what I am suggesting....
