Portside - you clearly don't visit them, you probably don't even go to Pubs or drink;-

A total of 793 of Wetherspoon pubs (across England, Wales and Northern Ireland) has a food hygiene rating. Of these, 770 (97 per cent) have the highest-possible rating of five. Overall, the average score for our pubs is 4.96.

So the share price is held back because of the carpets ?

The problem with spoons is simple they clean the tables and it all goes on the floor carpet and it stinks They just sweep the rubbish on to the floor and then leave it And you get chips and peas all over the floor and on your shoes But if you do not mind this then it's fine for you at least yiu no it's dirty

Two more saved and another biggun going up in Basildon. I think a few that they closed would probably fare better now as there seems to have been a resurgence in JDW Pub use and the outstanding value they offer. Of course some have closed due to development or inappropriate Lease agreements.
Let's face it where can you go and drink Ground Coffee allday for £1.56 and all the other offers. You would spend £10-£20 in Starbucks or Costa. Those exact machines are in Cineworld and other places and they charge £3.50 for one!
Like other stores in Towns that have closed, a Spoons is part of the lifeblood of communities and are sorely missed when they go despite the silly comments you still get from some people. These are the same types who said they would use Pubs when the smoking ban came in but never did and never will!
