The boss of Iceland was on last night saying he's gaining customers that are looking for cheaper options .That will be the same for Spoons. In droylsden this week the cheapest bitter was 2.85 going up to 3.40 in one pub.Cider at 3.80 to 4. 20.In Ashton-under-Lyne where there is a Spoons ,there is a real ale at 1.49 and Worthingtons 1.99.There is a lager and a cider at 1.99.That's why it's full and the pubs in droylsden are virtually empty .They will close down in droves ,as the cost of living bites harder .FACT

had lunch in Spoons in Cambridge today, it's a huge venue but almost every table was being used, a much older crowd but busy is busy! full of (unused) fruit machines too, not something I have seen before in my limited experience of spoon pubs.

Pleased with that update. Better than anticipated. Expect the pubs to be be heaving as Summer comes, costs to be managed and the value offering to draw customers away from the more 'premium' outfits. Good profitability and dividends in 2023.

Not much 78,000 in debt for his beer money lolIn 2020, the average person in the United Kingdom (UK) had £6,757 saved. A third of Brits have less than £600 in savings. 41% of Brits don't have enough savings to live for a month without income.

Day one of the share price recovery. Summer is coming and sales of drinks and food will increase dramatically. I am starting to see queues at the bars lunchtime. Not seen much of that for two years. Reminds me of the time when I've counted 20 people queueing and the share price was 1700.

Price is not amongst the most important decisions someone makes when visiting a pub .Eh???? Its absolutely why the vast majority visit Spoons. Try charging 6 pounds a pint and see how many customers you attract lol.
