I've been listening to a phone in prog this morning, and every single caller saying they will struggle to pay bills .A typical one was their energy going from a direct debit of 100 a month to 260 a month.Then up further to 320 a month in October. That's without other increased costs .That must affect pubs, as the beer moneys gone for millions.

If you're wondering about the wine it's P&O ferries disruption. Other various shortages due to drivers and warehouse staff being thin on the ground.
and from the bbc today.
It appears P&O ferries are still suspended bar POLiverpool #PODublin,not a lot on the news.

There have been shortages in Spoons of various items for months .No steaks etc .Brexit ????Good idea that ???In documents released alongside Rishi Sunak's budget the fiscal watchdog said: "Supply bottlenecks have been exacerbated by changes in the migration and trading regimes following Brexit. Spoons tonight no white wine on pump plus no bottles, also there appears to be a shortage of nuts, the manager said they,ve had no stock for six weeks.

I understand why he does it, and I have a great deal of sympathy with the message, but I can't believe that using the RNS route to have public battles with the chancellor and with key institutional investors can be doing the share price any favours. Surely it has to be a red flad for IIs?

The backlog for people with other health problems will never end ,as covid patients have to be separated in hospital. They can't just go on a general ward .It's manageable atm .Atm the cost of living is the main concern for pubs .My mate has been on a cheap fixed term rate of 45 a month. He has been quoted new figures, and the cheapest he can get is 174 a month fixed for 2 years .He was a regular Spoons drinker.His beer money now is wiped out.FACT.How many times will that be repeated ?

Of course it works.The symptoms now are milder and the vaccine is keeping them alive and out of hospital in huge numbers .There are still over a 1000 a week dieing though ,as opposed to over 10000 a week before vaccine. You have been lucky if you are over 60 .Why do you think they want you to have the vaccine. It's destroyed the Tories. It hasn't been for the good of their health lol.
