The thing is, what the thing is, so objects don't fall sideways without assistance. But you can take to another level. The irregular shaped stone walls at Cusco can't be real with no mortar and no gaps between the blocks, and yet they exist. The trillathon at Baalbek cannot exist, it's an impossibility but there it is. Anyway humanity is credulous, that's basically the outcome. And deep deep history. So FYA ATB

EI,

The problem was access and awareness rather than demand.

All the same, the most vulnerable are now getting boosters at an acceptable rate.

Hopefully. It's a race with the boosters and virus .Immunity wains the same whether its natural Immunity or Vaccine .A shop I went into today there wasn't one mask wearer with about 20 customers. Covid ? What Covid ??Why we couldn't make mask wearing mandatory on public transport/shops etc is beyond me, as some won't wear one as they follow everyone else .A mate of mine can't get his booster at the moment .There are 16 million without any vaccine, but they are mainly younger .It will be a close run thing as these hospitals are near capacity. 2 emergencies lately for me and I've been told it's over 7 hours for an ambulance. It's a DIY health service, and it will only get worse.

Record number of UK boosters administered in the last 3 days,

rising infection numbers beginning to spur the population to take action?.

I believe the opposite. We all have our opinions. I think there will be huge problems around Xmas. Too slow Govt once again.I've had experience of hospitals lately and they are in a mess .

Possible improvement in COVID stats imminent (boosters, jabs4kids, half-term).

Not unreasonable to expect sustained improvement in hospital situation that should endure until Spring at least.

Would be a boost for hospitality around Christmas.

Glen, you are aware of the respective results? - Greggs producing record profits,

JDW issuing additional shares to raise money and plunging in to an huge pre tax loss.

I see very little comparison - Greggs also available on food delivery apps.

I thought the same about Greggs i.e. that the move to working from home would surely hit their business model and their share price - like JDW, the majority of their outlets are in town centres. Yet the Greggs share price has doubled during the past twelve months, while JDW's share price continues to move in the opposite direction. The Stock Market does behave in strange ways!

Will we go back to table service only by December ?Maybe not ,but working from home will destroy hospitality .Most Spoons are in town and City centres. We have learnt from the past, by not having early intervention makes things worse .But some obviously haven't.The only upside for Spoons is a lot of the opposition will be gone for good .

Should have never gotten rid of masks and sensible precautions then .Millions won't get vaccinated ,and so live with the consequences. Vaccine passports were obviously a good idea.? But apparently not.
