The report shows that 489 of 742 people (65.9%) who died of the delta variant within 28 days of a positive covid test between 1 February 2021 and 2 August 2021, had received at least one dose of the vaccine. 54.1% (402 of 742) had received both doses. This seems like an alarming set of statistics, but with an imperfect vaccine and high vaccination coverage, it is exactly what we would expect.

Thought it was just 59 COVID deaths in the UK between Jan 2021 and July 2021 amongst people who were both double-vaxxed AND had no other (known) health issues.

The "FACT", Gozzie, (reported in the Press but ignored by BBC other than our local news when a GP let it slip in an interview) is that of all the people who have died from (with?) Covid since the vaccination programme began, only 56 have been fully vaccinated. 99.5% of all deaths in the period have been those who are either un-(or only partially)-vaccinated.

Some people need to grow a spine. Here in London, life is almost back to normal and the idea that we will "choose" to restrict ourselves is laughable.

Certainly looks like it EI.

If it ever gets near first covid lows will be in like a shot.

Short term the outlook is questionable but unless you believe covid restrictions will be here for ever I think they will be one of the winners longer term.They get so much right and covid has shown how poor some of the competition are.

Went to a very popular local Monday.Only doing table service (why?) no app and reading reviews complaints about not getting served.Also half the beers out of stock.Yet again Spoons saved the day was surprisingly busy too about the same as pre covid.Interestingly not one customer wore a mask.
