Andrew Cochran

Cochran served as chief executive of Dominion Petroleum from November 2009 until its acquisition in 2012.

He has over 20 years of international experience in the oil and gas industry, including founding and executive positions with Salamander Energy plc and Endeavour International Corporation and working for Anadarko Petroleum, Veritas DGC Indonesia and Western Geophysical.

President and chief executive Randy Bartley said: "We are pleased that Mr Cochran has agreed to join us as an executive director. His extensive experience in the international energy sector has been valuable to the company and we look forward to working with him in this new capacity."

"As the acquisition will only proceed if the resolutions proposed for the requisitioned general meeting are defeated, the directors strongly urge shareholders to vote against all the resolutions proposed by Milroy Capital at the forthcoming general meeting scheduled for May 15, 2014 and to take no action in the meantime,""

Am I being too cynical to say this seems to be a ploy to save their skins ?

Shocking how leaky some companies are especially on AIM but nothing will be done about the insider trading.

On a plus side I had my finger to sell all my shares this lunchtime for a 25% loss but I changed my mind and now I am in profit ... :)

h2owater - Advised by whom that it is not a reverse-takeover? Let's see the terms and as shareholders we can assess if it is a good deal for us? Let's not forget that the current BOD has given no indication who the deal is with and what the terms would be. I can't see myself voting blind for the board which has performed so poorly so far and owns so little of the company. Leaks to the press mean little.
