Posted at 30/11/2014 11:27 by digger27 Maybe I got in too early. At today's price the share price would be 16p following a 40 for 1 consolidation I am looking at 60p for breakeven and that's after averaging down a few times. Pretty sure a lot on here are even worse off.The share price is now at the same level it was a year ago. Where did you hear about the consolidation as this hasn't been released or have I missed something? Edit - just read the letter on website re consolidation. All my shares are held in a nominee account do don't get direct comms from company. |
Posted at 28/11/2014 16:41 by 412069 You never know, these chaps arnt fly by nights and can make wsx a force, be glad you got in early. |
Posted at 30/10/2014 16:16 by 412069 digger.... my emails and calls were returned!Ok in theory he wont sell UNTIL that is they are worth far more than todays share price. Thats his plan his record shows this, why would he change the way he's gone about doing bisiness this time. |
Posted at 15/10/2014 21:49 by smalltimeinvestor Wonder when the BOD will release final results? Last year it was on the 16th. The year before the 2nd. With so little happening you would have thought they would be done. The only excuse I can think of is death but if that had happened we'd have probably seen a jump in the share price!! |
Posted at 08/10/2014 08:52 by nash81 i believe wsx was up due to due to pumping by the guy in iii. i am in both WSX and ROSE. though i believe news will be in ROSE first, and then i could top up my WSX |
Posted at 17/9/2014 15:21 by smalltimeinvestor Typical for the BOD. Do they even know the share price rose dramatically? |
Posted at 03/9/2014 22:27 by smalltimeinvestor 1. This was always a sweetheart deal(giveaway of 25% of WSX) for Cochran, which is why I believe he rushed a deal(NIDO - Philippines SC54A) that was in it's infancy and not ready for "prime-time". IMHO the HALO deal would never have occurred without Milroy's takeover attempt.2. Cochran bought the shares before the deal was announced because he needed to show he was for real... and probably did not relish the idea of buying shares at an inflated price after the announcement. 3. And who are the "two new guys"? As far as I know the BOD is still Yeo, Butler and Patrick. I think it is a premature to consider anyone else part of WSX. 4. And finally: Even if Cochran was totally kosher and expected everything to go through... he still has to deal with the current BOD, one of whom is supposed to step-down from his highly paid position upon completion of the deal. I think Butler was pressured to step-down because of his extremely poor performance as chairman in return for the large shareholders' support and is now refusing to leave without a large payout. Everything I've heard about him is that he is a selfish piece of garbage. |
Posted at 27/4/2014 13:53 by nutty1 Yes smalltimeinvestor, WSX may well have been worth $40MM at time of Mr Dekker's departure, but 6 months earlier, the board (of which he was MD), turned down an offer of $100M. That was a $60MM loss of value that was down to their decision. However, nearly all of the subsequent downward step changes in share price coincide almost exactly with the well results in French Guyane. They can't be held responsible for these. Check the press releases against the share price chart and you'll see this is true. After GM-ES-2 (Dec 2012) it was 4.5p After GM-ES-3 (April 2013) it was 1.5p After GM-ES-4 (July 2013) it was 0.8p After GM-ES-5 (Nov 2013) it was 0.4p Pity they didn't accept that bid isn't it? Savvy businessmen... Messrs Dekker, Butler or Yeo can't be blamed for the well failures and the impact it has on the share price That's wildcat oil exploration for you. OK, you might have lost a lot of money. That's tough I'm afraid. Get over it. If people don't like the consequences and whine about it then they shouldn't be invested in high-risk E&P stocks in the first place. At least they were drilling wells. That's more than can be said of a lot of AIM companies, who do nothing and fritter money away as 'lifestyle' companies. What they can be criticised for is the failure to snap up the offer on the table from Total in March 2012.. Rejection of a $100MM dollar offer on the back of one discovery well in a virtually unexplored basin!! Now that really is showing the business sense of the tea lady IMO...(sorry to any tea ladies reading this, but 412069 started it) And Dr Butler is blameless here given he only joined in June 2012. The offer was recommended and then rejected as being inadequate following initial discussions with the principal shareholders (RNS 26th March 2012). Who were these 'principal shareholders'? I want to know the whole truth about the failed offer from Total. Just because I'm critical of Mr Milroy broadcasting his support from Mr Dekker, does not necessarily mean I support Mr Yeo. However, I think there should be some balance on this BB. What I want is a clear, truthful account as to why the Total offer failed. That might tell me a lot about who has the better business sense, and which side to support. |
Posted at 07/2/2014 12:38 by shwetal I can see WSX share price seems to take off but I could not see any recent RNS, etc. that could become the base for this but there is none. Any sincere genuine thoughts available on the possible reasons if any one can !!! |
Posted at 26/10/2013 11:34 by dan de lion As always it is a bet on the well, if the last well is successful WSX share price will go up and they would become attractive to a predator, also, with an increase in share price they could go for a cash raising exercise(placing/rig |
