31/7/2021 09:44 | it was nice to see yesterday's notable rise but it hasnee moved at'll t'day ;-) ----- with a little bowing to one of the many brilliant accents that exist in this wonderful beautiful island | smithie6
30/7/2021 19:27 | Comparison between my valuation model to the figures in the recent trading statement is encouragingly close. - Revenue $24.7m vs. $24.5m modelled - Statutory PBT $3.8m vs. $3.8m modelled - adjusted PBT $4.2m vs. $4.1m modelled I hadn't adjusted the model for the recent acquisition and fund raise yet, so can't get a comparison on pro forma net cash. Drilling down to segment level, corporate franchise revenues were ahead of my forecast and insurance B-to-B sales were behind. The latter is somewhat surprising, given the success in adding new national insurance accounts over the last year; I guess it just shows that they take a while to scale. Neither of the two brokers providing coverage have upgraded, although both have indicated likely upgrades in future. This, frankly, leaves their current forecasts for 2021 looking rather foolish, with implied H2 revenue below H1, in spite of the very strong upwards trends and the benefit of a full period in H2 from recent franchise reacquisitions. I will work on more realistic projections over the weekend and publish here when done. | effortless cool

30/7/2021 17:36 | I added today - think that's the 4th add for me. What is this talk about offers though - we don't need that IMO as it's got legs and is doing just fine by itself | davr0s
30/7/2021 16:35 | Up another 8% today, alot of interest in this now. At this rate potential offers will start appearing | hsduk101

29/7/2021 09:03 | any views on - what the current cap valuation should be wrt statutory profit ? (is cap. value at about 30 times statutory profit ?, not excessive imo. Statutory H1 profit of £2.9million. cap. value £187 million, ratio of 64 for H1 alone !; if double to include H2 then a number of 32 comes out. If 10% growth in stat. profit in H2 wrt H1 then the ratio becomes 30.6 (this ratio comes down if use a different profit number such as EBITDA) - possible profit & valuation in 1 year ? | smithie6

14/7/2021 12:44 | There you go, a cash call. Thought things were going rather well and didn’t foresee this. ‘Water Intelligence, a leading provider of non-invasive leak detection and remediation services for both potable and non-potable water, today announces that it proposes to raise approximately $9.5 million (£6.9 million) in a placing and subscription through the issue of an aggregate of up to 749,893 new ordinary shares of one penny each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 920 pence per Ordinary Share (the "Issue Price"), together the ("Fundraising") The Fundraising comprises a placing (the "Placing") of up to 526,691 new Ordinary Shares ("Placing Shares") to raise up to $6.7 million (£4.8 million) and a subscription (the "Subscription") of up to 223,202 Ordinary Shares ("Subscription Shares") to raise a total of approximately $2.8 million (£2.1 million). As part of the Fundraising, certain directors and persons closely associated with them, as well as certain employees, intend to exercise 250,000 options over Ordinary Shares and to pay up in full Partly Paid Shares ("Exercise Shares") (the Placing Shares, Subscription Shares and Exercise Shares, together the "New Ordinary Shares") and, instead of receiving these shares, have instructed the Company to sell them into the Subscription at the Issue Price.’ Perhaps not so much of a cash call as providing directors with the opportunity of cashing huge slugs of options at a full price. Nice work… if you can get it. | dozey3

08/7/2021 11:42 | Exactly, agreed, Smithie. The principle is the same, gives an idea of what could be done with some technology transfer and, at near-surface, would be significantly cheaper... Eg one could imagine inserting a plastic liner with a Dynorod type assembly with some sealing device or fittings attached... not expensive... but profitable. | sogoesit
08/7/2021 11:02 | thanks for all that info ------ ok, so, those liners are very strong steel pipes (6-8mm wall thickness) in order to cope with the very high pressures involved & clearly such liners are quite expensive due to high amount of steel used, high specs, & the pipes are extruded/pulled from hot steel (rather than seam welding which is a cheaper tube production method) all quite special stuff so, it is very different than the liners that WATR is looking at, which is imo blowing/inserting flexible plastic liners into old leaky pipes (mostly for dirty water and/or sewage, & irrigation channels/pipes) if a liner can be inserted it can avoid providing a new tube (& digging up the ground to house the new tube) & hence safe money for the tube owner | smithie6
08/7/2021 09:03 | Hi Smithie, We use two types of "system" to "line" wells or to seal-off formations or sections of wells (whether by design or to prevent leakage/fluid-pressu A Liner will normally be steel (high strength steel alloy) seamless pipe which is run into wells of outer diameter 9-5/8" down to 3-1/2" typically. Wall thickness for 7" and 6-5/8" od Liner is about 0.35inch depending on strength specs. of the Liner pipe. These Liners are run in to larger diameter pipe in the well and sometimes cement is placed (pumped) in the annuli to seal. Packers are used at the ends of Liners to seal the annuli or are run into existing pipe to seal-off larger diameter pipe and provide a new (smaller diameter) path for fluids. Packers are made of rubber type/nitrile materials and vary depending on pressure, temperature of the well and type of fluid exposed to. All these "systems" can be used at varying degrees of attack - vertical all the way to horizontal and sub-horizontal. Here are some explanations: Here's a Packer catalogue: No, the liner does not stay in contact with the tube it is lining in oil&gas wells. It is not feasible to have or would it be preferable to do so due to temperature/pressure effects and cycling (expansion). Hence the use of the Packers which are inserted within, or at ends of, the Liner "string" or the packing "string". ("string" is a term to describe lengths of pipe screwed together, usually 100's or 1,000's feet long). Or, as mentioned, cement is pumped into the tube/liner annulus to provide the seal. | sogoesit
08/7/2021 09:02 | Another two large franchise reacquisitions announced by Water Intelligence (LON:WATR) today: With that following on from another franchise reacquisition a week ago: and yet another national insurance account win in between: this has already been a very busy month for the company, and we're only eight days in! This latest announcement has finally prompted some response from the brokers (WH Ireland and Dowgate Capital), with consensus revenue increasing to $47.2m for 2021 (was $45.5m) and to $55.6m for 2022 (was $49.9m). Similarly, consensus normalised EPS is now 28.8c for 2021 (was 27.4c) and 34.2c for 2022 (was 29.6c). I consider the broker projections remain on the conservative side and will try and update my own forecasts this weekend. | effortless cool
06/7/2021 09:36 | sogoesit in the oil/gas undersurface sectors what materials are used for the liners ? & what type of thickness ? the liner, after installation does it stay in contact with the tube it is lining & how is that achieved ? | smithie6 |
