10/8/2017 13:06 | short term swing shorting. sincerely doubt that will end well whichever stocks you pick. hope you don't use too much leverage! not meant as investment advice of course but I think you should seek some. | nimbo1
10/8/2017 12:37 | webb - if your maths is as dodgy as your english, you are in trouble already. | grabster
10/8/2017 12:29 | Thanks nimbo1 (member since 27 Sep 2011). I had to create a profile, to write, but not just that to write. I'll short it but will check Technical's to see the momentum changing in the share. I agree, losses from shorts could be high (and unlimited) but I don't any other good shorts out there in the UK (Tesla is on my list by very costly for UK trader, another is IQE) | webbmark
10/8/2017 12:18 | and so they come. (member since 10th august 2017 - you made a profile just to write that?) short it...you might be right. Im staying long - remember your losses from shorting can be unlimited, although I would guess there are safer shorts out there. | nimbo1
10/8/2017 12:02 | Not sure why so much bullish opinions out there. WANDisco reported On 8 March 2017 - Adjusted EBITDA loss was more than halved to $7.5m On 25 July 2017 Cash on balance sheet of $9.9 million, inclusive of $3.0 million from new growth capital facility Current Share Price of 800.00p Earnings per Share - Adjusted from last year: 47.00 cents Giving EPS of approximately: 22 this is a reach valuation for a company which still is making loss on reported bases. Are all positive news reflected on the price? Or is it a time to short the share? | webbmark
10/8/2017 09:05 | Mr Richards believes the education system needs to be fixed. “We are asking people aged 14 to start selecting subjects. It’s far too young, people doing arts might be brilliant computer scientists. Read more at: I think there might be some truth in that. An interesting observation on education. | hazl
10/8/2017 08:01 | Thanks Nimbo and Gary excellent reading. | hazl
10/8/2017 07:49 | Great article, Gary. Clearly illustrates the size of the market and Wandisco's unique position in terms of its product and the licensing model should mean decent profits aren't too far away. | tickboo
10/8/2017 07:49 | As big as Amazon? Sounds good to me. RM | rampmeister
09/8/2017 22:36 | Thanks for the links and info | djbilywiz
09/8/2017 21:23 | Just listened to that. I love the reiteration of the $4.2m deal with the financial institution whixh is only 5% of their data. Massive potential to upscale existing clients, especially that one! To be fair David the CEO is a good presenter. Hopefully this will translate to more interest and investors. Very near to positive cash flow. | tickboo
09/8/2017 19:28 | hxxp://wsw.com/webca Wandisco canaccord presentation - very interesting use cases and quotations from customers. such as Head of data resilience for a major US Bank 'Regulatory requirements prevented us from going into production with key financial applications like fraud detection and risk because we had to meet strict SLA's. Wandisco Fusion meets these requirements and allows us to deploy business critical applications'. Disaster recovery for a major US retailer 'quite simply Wandsico enables us to use our disaster recovery centre for compute workloads. this means we are able to fully utilise our server infrastructure and that dramatically reduces our costs. Driving Car technology forward - a major automotive manufacturer 'Before we had IBM big replicate (fusion) we ran trails in replicating a small sub set of our data which required about 30 hour outage which we could do over a weekend. When we ran an extrapolation we realised that by the end of 2017 that would grow to a 30 day outage for our key systems. With big replicate we can move data without any down time and that is absolutely critical' | nimbo1
09/8/2017 15:12 | Nice 32,000 buy. Hopefully the event should give wand some more exposure investor and potential client wise. | tickboo
09/8/2017 15:08 | With Peel Hunt upping the target to £10 and the Boston event today I think things are still very promising here. One or two trades not to be sniffed at either. They keep moving the spread but the actual buy and sell price has held up quite well. IMO | hazl
09/8/2017 14:59 | post 1508 Gary thanks today! That might well get us some renewed interest. ' WANdisco to Present at Canaccord Genuity Growth Conference in Boston on August 9, 2017' | hazl
09/8/2017 13:30 | I will probably get back in at 740. | nmulm
09/8/2017 13:29 | Melton John .. I have done some digging and apparently GOOGLE have written a paper on the issue of active data replication "paxos made live" its details their particular problems with trying to solve the problem. I note you have an IT background it might be you can glean more from the paper than the average punter but it might assist in your DD ? Sincerely flagged and wish you well with your research. | knighttokingprawn
09/8/2017 13:06 | Interesting post knighttokingprawn Thinking aloud with no expertise in these matters- In the recent trading update they quote "Record H1 bookings of $10.2 million, up 73% vs H1 2016" Is it fair to double that for full year to $20m? The products are just getting known in the market place and have decent backing from majors like IBM so I would hope that grow continues at a decent pace. It also occurs to me that companies using these products will be immune to ransom attacks as there would be instant backups available? The contracts mentioned in the trading update talk figs around $1m ish (no guide as to whether that is one off or per annum) so to get to £100 m in revenue you could argue that they need 100 to 200 large customers world wide. I think that should be doable so I will stick with them. Anyway as I said thinking aloud with no expertise. Just a thought on a quiet day | qackers
09/8/2017 12:30 | Great informative collaboration here....what a bb should be about. Look forward to hearing your feedback tickboo. | hazl
