Yep very reminiscent of Rob Terry of QPP and his dealing with EFH. Shareholders might want to research what happened there if they dont already know. Rob Terry and Dave Richards are peas from the same pod.

Hmmm I hate it when companies get involved with these securities lenders. Never a good sign.

Maybe the same way 99.9% of organisations that have migrated to the cloud so far have managed - without WAND’s help.

How are CME Group going to transfer and maintain all their market data to Google Cloud? Could WAND get involved in this? https://cloud.google.com/customers/cme-group

Thanks tickboo for posting that Edison report which passed me by.
I see that rather optimistically Edison are putting in someone providing $20m of long term debt so that no equity raise is needed.
Pleasantly surprised that the share price is so strong after that report
See that just 9k shares traded today.
Given the not very great liquidity hope that no big holder loses patience.

Yeah Edison are not independent they are paid for 'research'. If it wasn't WAND it would be unbelievable for this to be issued without an RNS. I assumed next year would be lower but the forecast is mind boggling and clearly a massive red flag. I moaned at the rem committee last year as Richards' package defied logic, it was close to 10% of revenue. Disgraceful. Glad I moved on from here but little wonder the old chairman and CFO tried to get rid of him and then resigned.

From today's Times - but are they using AWS with WANdisco LiveMigrator?

GCHQ, MI5 and MI6 paying Amazon millions to host secret data

Amazon has reached an agreement with the UK’s three spy agencies to host classified material.

Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company’s cloud computing arm, will be used by GCHQ, MI5 and MI6 in addition to other government departments such as the Ministry of Defence during joint operations.

The deal, estimated to be worth £500 million to £1 billion over the next decade, was signed this year.

Sources told the Financial Times that although AWS was a US company, all the agencies’ data would be held in Britain and Amazon would not have access to information on the cloud platform.

Ciaran Martin, who was head of the National Cyber Security Centre, a branch of GCHQ, said that the deal would allow the security services “to get information from huge amounts of data in minutes, rather than in weeks and months”.

He added: “This is not about collecting or hoarding more data. The obvious business case is to use existing large amounts of data more effectively.”

Gus Hosein, executive director of Privacy International and an expert in technology and human rights, said that there were “many things” that parliament, regulators and the public needed to know about the deal.

He said: “This is yet another worrying public-private partnership, agreed in secret. If this contract goes through, Amazon will be positioned as the go-to cloud provider for the world’s intelligence agencies. Amazon has to answer for itself which countries’ security services it would be prepared to work for.”

The cloud service is designed to host classified and sensitive information securely and enable spies to share data more easily from field locations.

It will also allow GCHQ, MI5 and MI6 to use applications such as speech recognition which can translate particular voices from hours’ worth of intercept recordings during espionage operations and undertake faster searches on each other’s databases. GCHQ said that it would not discuss its business relationships with technology suppliers.

The CIA signed its first $600 million cloud contract with AWS in 2013 on behalf of all US intelligence agencies. The system was upgraded last year under a new deal with a consortium comprising AWS, Microsoft, Google, Oracle and IBM. Admiral Mike Rogers, former head of the US National Security Agency, said that cloud storage had helped intelligence officers zero in on potential suspects.

He said: “It gives us speed, it gives us flexibility, and by being able to aggregate more data, it increases the possibility that you’re going to identify that needle in the haystack.”

This month Sir David Omand, the former head of GCHQ, said that the intelligence services faced problems recruiting specialists because of the money on offer from the private sector.

This announcement was clearly flagged up in the interims as happening about now but even so would have thought it justified a very small increase in share price
Incidentally this caught my attention in the interims

If indeed it is the first well done to them.
Incidentally listening to the UMC meeting with BLTG, BLTG were very excited that their partnership with AWS had evolved such that they are one of the 200/300 companies worldwide who have an ISV accelerate partnership with AWS. No idea if WAND have a closer relationship with AWS.

A poor first half well advertised by lack of RNS , had a steady drip out and mark down of the stock, no news on KPI,s was also a tell , flagged by many on this board. So lots of bad news in the stock, and the delayed update confirmed worst fears...

So the above is old news — whats to come ?
General availability in the Azure stack has been promised and was due by now ( so likely soon), a reset of FY long over due has been realised , and stuff in the pipe to suggest that the risk reward is that stock is more sensitive to positive news flow from here.... Stock obviously could get cheaper but think a bottom has been set on the expectaion that new FY will be hit and better times ahead.... that view may only last until the next RNS , but pretty rational that the stock rallied on the meaculpa from the co...... PLUS , evidnce suggests that the USA buyers are still there and although long higher up , have not deserted the medium term thesis..
