The good news is - after what 4 years of watching this company - the results no longer a surprise! irritatingly, i found myself buying some at £2.45...probably should have been hitting the sell button! What a shockingly poorly run business in the sweetest of sweet spots in the whole Tech investing sphere.

Don't think it's worth 44m in my opinion

The CEO is a disgrace. Double H1 revenue and his package with was more last year. A charlatan.

At the half year in 2020 they said that revenues in 2021 would be $35 miilion. Maybe they are tad short!! For the last five years its always been jam tomorrow.

Late results are always indicative of unhealthy news flow. The CEO knew what was around the corner as he dumped a load at 8 quid!At least someone is getting wealthy here?

My guess is boring technical issues, there are some new accounting standards that have caused delays e.g. NCC Group. Don’t think it is good or bad.

Maybe they're hoping for something to close in the next week, allowing them to paint some post period gloss.

David can't face it this week.

At least the rns implies that there actually are some results to report.

The 2 trends that might help are new devs in health & mass crypto, perhaps.
This is a very, very small dabble for me on the back of other interests.
D-Day coming where there will be no dodging showing growth.

Mass reconciliation in real-time and mass anonymized patient data trends.
Both will be big but will WAND be in there as a supplier of needed capability?

Have to wonder if ONT data migration to Oracle cloud will involve WAND? Some other areas too coming along in health. Answer is probably no but does look like a need.

After a rapid rise, I will still be in loss.
Today 100 bought, 5000 sold, and we're up.
Explain that to me.

Without fail I have found the holders here to be a decent bunch so in many ways I would like them to do well, but for the avoidance of doubt I think this company is a stinker. Hopefully it gets a bid or a rapid rise and you can all make some money and move on.

Blah blah, I agree the balance of history is with you and I completely understand why anyone would be sceptical.

I've bought recently, adding to a small longer term long. if the results or the update aren't telling me what I want to hear, I will move on and hopefully it won't be too expensive.

That said, I hope for solid progress.

Not having a go at you, bg23, you are entitled to your opinion, it's your money.

But let's look at the history as a guide. This has been listed for somewhere around 9 years (!) and has always claimed to be a growth stock and last year it did $10m of revenue (!!) and made an EBITDA loss of more than $20m (!!!). I don't mind losses if it results in rapid revenue growth but it did $8m of revenue in 2012 (!!!!). So it has added $2m of revenue over an eight year period.

The thing it has done best over the years is raise money by peddling a story about how good its tech is and how important it is to the cloud. Well it seems to me the cloud has grown a bit faster than WANdisco has, so maybe it is not as important as it would have you believe.

''Absolute guesswork re target price'' - agreed, its just my thoughts.

As to valuation, the company re-confirmed their turnover target at the last hearing, and whilst I agree, they have a history of missing their own targets, I feel that the full integration into MSFT/AWS will be the absolute kicker. It feels to me that rather than playing catchup they are now on the front foot.

Would 10 or 12 times t/o really be an outlandish valuation on a US listed tech stock? Not at all, and they love the space. I can imagine a $60m expectation for next year (edison) would gain significant credibility if this years reported is $35m or better and could see this trading closer to 20x t/o

my supposition only. not my industry - but my fingers firmly crossed that we see 'significant progress'

Could not agree more. The recent contract announced was not material so small-fry. The CEO's package last year was nearly 10% of total revenue. Still can't get my heard around falling revenues, larger losses, more massively missed targets yet more cash and shares for the CEO. Unless the business model is now generating impressive recurring revs given the lack of contract news I suspect another poor showing. Hopefully Richards' finally met expectations and the Azure deal in particular has generated decent revenues.

Absolute guesswork re target price. There is nothing here to justify the current price on multiples of revenue or whatever, never mind suggest a higher valuation. They have missed every target they have ever set.
