Perhaps it's as simple as the new relationships with Microsoft and Alibaba have made the period tricky to close. I'd like to think they wanted to include a deal as part of the update but I'm not so sure. Odd that it's been over 6 months since the last deal RNS.I get the impression H1 has been poor and won't generate half the expecting FY revenue as they remain confident due to the burgeoning pipeline of opportunities so H2 is expected to be a lot better.

It’s bizarre and underlined the precarious nature of the business.

Probably implies

1. The half has been difficult to close
Or
2. They are waiting for a large deal to do a victory lap
Or
3. They have some other corporate action that they are working on that they wish to announce in tandem with numbers...

I think in any event they are getting poor advice .. just post your numbers and move on is the best strategy ... it feels like everyone is getting their chain yanked ...

I don't believe in 1 trades for RNSs but hopefully we have the update tomorrow. Pretty poor it's a couple of weeks later than in previous years. Waiting for a deal to drop maybe.

H2 50% better, bookings-wise than H1. Alibaba and Microsoft hit the ground running and the others doing their thing.

Give the last RNS I reckon H1 will be mediocre but hopefully upbeat H2 with detail backing it up. Hopefully not a Friday RNS.

Could be tough market as the Turkish Lira probably generates a big liquidity risk ..so Wand needs some alpha in a soggy beta tape!

I think 1 H needs to be good.. a promise of 2H sees us sag I suspect.. unless he can share evidence of order book..

Trading update this coming week surely. As I've said I'm hoping the commentary is decent and detailed. H1 may not be too impressive but H2 could be as much as 50% better, complete speculation but I see no reason why not, particularly from a bookings point of view.

Not sure if anyone saw this, but David Richards posted a link on his Twitter feed to the following article from 1st August about Wandisco being used to provide China's first dual-active disaster recovery service(I have used Google Translate)

I had a fixed quote for 7.60 but thought I'd I bought I'd jinx and it'd drop. Glad we're on the way back up and hopefully the trading update commentary is really positive and maybe some H2 deals chucked in the commentary as post period.
