You won't be looking away for long as my bet is we'll get the trading update RNS tomorrow or Weds.

Volume of 380k, which is a mixture of buys / sell, drags it down 6%.

Best to walk away and re-look when there is a RNS.

The question is will Walmart et al be using wand's software as part of the data transfer, you'd think so. The potential here looks massive. Microsoft have been producing case studies, blogs re data replication and exhibiting with wand so looks like this will be a massive partnership. Some snippets from an owenski on ADVFN - Https://uk.advfn.com/stock-market/NASDAQ/MSFT/share-news/Microsoft-Revenue-Pushed-Up-By-Cloud-WSJ/77901899Much of that growth has come from persuading customers who run Microsoft's software in their own data centers to mix in cloud services, a business known as hybrid-cloud computing. Microsoft remains a distant No. 2 in the cloud business behind Amazon.com Inc., but has established itself as a viable option for companies beginning the transition. But the company has reversed its fortunes, largely under the direction of Chief Executive Satya Nadella, by focusing on the booming cloud-computing market. Earlier this week, Walmart Inc. announced a five-year deal to use Microsoft's cloud services. In the fourth quarter, revenue from server products and cloud services, a category that reflects Microsoft's performance in the hybrid cloud, rose 26%. The company doesn't disclose revenue for the segment.Stifel Nicolaus & Co. analyst Brad Reback estimates revenue in the category hit $7.9 billion -- "massive" growth, he said. Microsoft is "playing from their strength," he said, by using traditional server software to lure longtime customers to the cloud. Those sales helped Microsoft generate $30.09 billion in revenue, a 17% gain from a year earlier, when measured using a new accounting standard the company adopted at the beginning of its fiscal year. Mr. Nadella, in the company's call with analysts, cited Microsoft's "hybrid value proposition" as a reason for its quarterly growth. In the fourth quarter, revenue from the company's Intelligent Cloud segment, which includes its Azure business, rose 23% to $9.61 billion. Azure revenue increased 89%, compared with 93% three months ago -- the first time the business has grown slower than 90% since Microsoft began reporting the metric in October 2015.

Wow, you'd think the deal with Wal-Mart will be using Wand's tech. H2 and beyond should be high growth for wand. Shame I haven't got any spare funds to top up. Exciting times and the same growth applies to Alibaba et al re big data/the cloud.

Well we'll have the H1 trading update I'd imagine by this time next week. We haven't had a contract RNS since the first week in Jan so who knows what it'll look like. Hopefully H1 bookings and revenues are 100+% higher than last year's. Certainly hope bookings are impressive and we have some decent commentary. This drop on little volume seems OTT but next week will dictate that!

It's summer and volume is low (35k today). I'm not worried in the slightest. I have a sticker on my computer "Buy the Dips" looks like I might be getting my hand in my pockets! ;-)

Defintely feels that way...we know that sweish fund is in ... we dont know why ... but to go from zero to 6pct in a news vacuum suggests either a leap of faith or a bit of assymetry in news flow... it also feels to me that some other big buyer turnd up to take us to £12 ish.. cant prove that ofcourse... but they have clearly both finished buying.. and now we sit back in a vacuum ... waithing for te half year results.... volumes not great here and as I suggested speculative money buying the bigger momentum doesnt want to be around when we get the “ news” which could be just a big yawn...

Key risks for me are the IBM relationship...all very well talking up msft and Baba .. but market will wnt to see that the IBM relatiosnhip is sustainable and growing...

toyin - agreed about today's price action being irrelevant in twelve months time.

However, the price action in this company is strange. It trades flat for weeks while Swedish Robor accumulated a significant position. Then it rises and falls on no news with modest in and outflows. The company needs to be a bit more transparent with what is happening under the hood. Is it leaking out news?

On twitter from wand but the link is to Microsoft azure's site.Globally replicated data lakes with LiveData using WANdisco on AzureThe recent announcement of Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 preview and its support on Azure HDInsight is already leading partners to innovate at a global scale. WANdisco enables globally replicated data lakes on Azure for analytics over the freshest data. This blog explains how.The modern business landscape is ruled by data. Analytics and AI are now essential for driving key business transformation. Customers have benefited tremendously from the performance, flexibility, and low cost offered by Azure for analytics and AI workloads.Hybrid made easy with a single-click!For many organizations, however, the process of making their data available in the cloud has been a challenge. The sheer scale of modern data sets combined with the expectations from users of continued system availability make it difficult to use standard tooling for copying data just to get data to Azure. They cannot suffer the business cost of system downtime, nor the potential for inconsistent or unavailable data that produces incorrect analytics results. The organizations that are maximizing their Azure opportunities are using WANdisco Fusion to ensure they have always accurate and consistent data. Let's look at an example of how a customer was able to leverage WANdisco on Azure HDInsight and reduce their deployment time from months to days.Scenario: replicating data from on-prem to cloud and other Hadoop distributionsCustomer wanted to synchronize data from on-prem Hadoop to Azure HDInsight for analytics and then replicate to a third data lake in parent company in real-time, always, with no downtime, with strict SLAs.Challenge: Petabytes across on-prem and the cloudMultiple petabyte under replication across on-prem and the cloud. Data along with the metadata such as Hive schema, authorization policies using Ranger etc. was constantly changing and used at the source and the destination. Customer wanted a zero-disruption solution.Solution: deploy WANdisco Fusion with a single-click in Azure HDInsightWith hundreds of terabytes of data needing to be in sync with Azure all the time, Customer was able to deploy WANdisco Fusion with a single-click in Azure HDInsight Application Platform and was able to support the complex data availability, multi-vendor and multi-location support, while ensuring their data SLAs.Globally replicated data lakes! With WANdisco Fusion, you can make data that you have used in other large-scale analytics platforms available in Azure Blob Storage, ADLS Gen1 and Gen2 without downtime or disruption to your existing environment. Customers can also replicate the data, and metadata (Hive database schema, authorization policies using Apache Ranger, Sentry, and more ) across different regions to make the data lake available globally for analytics.Screen Shot 2018-07-01 at 12.00.23 PMThe technology to make this happen is WANdisco Fusion, and the capability is called 'LiveData.' LiveData combines distributed consensus with large-scale data replication, so that applications can continue to operate on data locally, while WANdisco Fusion makes that same information available in Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Gen1. Systems can operate on data in either platform at the same time, while WANdisco Fusion's LiveData technology ensures that data are available for use at any time in any location. LiveData in practice As an example of how a LiveData platform is used, a semiconductor manufacturer applies this technology today to bridge their on-premises analytics infrastructure with Azure. Large-scale Hadoop deployments run on-premises with hundreds of Terabytes of data in constant use. Making that data available in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) would be impossible without a LiveData platform because it is undergoing constant change. There is no time for downtime, so data need to be replicated while they are changing and being used.WANdisco Fusion achieves this by introducing consensus to changes made in the environments. Deployed in both the on-premises Hadoop environments, and in Azure, Fusion lets administrators select which portions of their data need to be available in each environment. That selective replication in combination with continuous replication of data, as soon as any change occurs, can be used to bring data at scale to the cloud. The LiveData capability does even more! The semiconductor manufacturer also has to ensure that their applications will operate in Azure on Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 on exactly the same data that they use on-premises. With a LiveData platform, this manufacturer is able to guarantee consistency by actively replicating changes multi-directionally, a new critical business and technology capability.By introducing WANdisco Fusion on-premises and in Azure, linking those deployments and defining simple rules for data availability (directory, database, table, and more) and spanning locations, an enterprise is able to avoid the physical constraints that would otherwise prevent ready adoption of Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and other Azure analytical services. Applications can continue to run on-premises while data are replicated with Azure, and applications can be operated in the Azure environment on the very same data at the same time. A LiveData architecture avoids the divergence of data by removing the notion of having separate data in each environment. Instead, both the on-premises and Azure deployments have direct access at local speed to the same data all the time.Try WANdisco to create globally replicated data lakes today!Getting there is simple, with three steps:Installing WANdisco Fusion App on HDInsight using a single-click deployment modelInstall WANdisco Fusion on-premisesConnect to the data sources in each region and choose the datasets to replicate.Replication rules can act on file system locations or on specific Hive databases and tables, Ranger and sentry policies etc. Applications can then use their data as normal. With local speed of access and no need to modify how the applications work, Fusion provides continuous replication and guaranteed consistency for those data sets that are shared across environments.

I saw that too. I believe they're looking at NPD re block chain but not sure what direction etc. The question is where will the share price be in a little over a week? I doubt the revenue figure will be too crazy but hopefully the bookings will impress the market along with the commentary. The market cap looks rather high but the potential here is massive which is clearly priced in.Last year H1 bookings of $10.2m up 73% with fusion up 173% to $7m from $2.6m.This year I guess we want H1 bookings of fusion to be double to $14m and maybe source code management stagnant at $3m or so so $17m which is a 70% or so increase. Perhaps we want fusion to be even higher. No idea what people's expectations are! Hopefully they're exceeded. I expect H2 to be better still given momentum and new partners bedding in.Good to see wand and Microsoft exhibiting together and Alibaba should be up and running soon too. Bodes well.

Anyone any thoughts on this tweet from David Richards from Sunday?

There’s a big #blockchain debate still to take place...

Game Theoretic #Consensus (Public Blockchain) vs. Algorithmic Consensus, probably leaderless #Paxos (Private Blockchain)

Complex? You bet! Full of bad assumptions & misunderstandings. @WANdisco will have a lot to say 😎

Hi Tickboo , i think the point is that the sale is still a “technical sale” there is work to be done to make the use case ... thats not great from the perspective of a high volume sale .. hence the elephant deals .. where the time is rewarded with a big commission check...

The good news is there is value in the product...i think in the medium term they wand will have to double down on their direct sales model if they are to have an independant future...
