McMather, an impressive list, and Thankyou for that. While WJA themselves share virtually nothing about Homesend operations, and their KPI updates are very very difficult to interpret, I wish FinnCap could reproduce that list above, and get into the public domain some of Homesend’s progress. Presumably all that list is correct, and presumably they contribute to Homesends capabilities, reputation, revenue and therefore ultimately value.

But for outsiders, it is impossible to see which have the greatest impact. Is Brazil and Wattsapp a greater breakthrough than Peoples Bank of China ? Who knows, because we are not told........

Chief executive Ajay Banga remarked though that the company's 'platform uniquely positions us to support the shift to digital across consumer and business payments that has been accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic.'

As soon as MC realises this is taking off, they will buy it

I'm wondering if MC are no longer bothering with WJA as financing partner. So much easier to do it alone and settle over the price later.

Hopefully not Tom; this is from 10mins 20 secs of the above video; "Wameja has a range of legal and commercial protections that support its position".

HS must be closing in on profit; a very decent take out or increasing dividend payments will do. Preferably, the first but I can live with the second.

It's about time that MC/WJA started publishing some renevue about Homesend so we can get some idea where we are heading.

Bought in again for my fourth tranche. For the time being, and Up/Down share, but one I'm very happy to accumulate.

The only time we will is when the takeover happens, great buying opportunities though

Hmmm.

Maybe JC will be doing another of these overviews in the next week or so; this one from just shy of a year ago - some interesting figures quoted in there.

4mins 46secs - "the most recent liquidity request....is coming hard on the heels of a $2m request only a few weeks ago and that is about HomeSend readying itself for a faster increase in volumes in the very short term"

So far as is known to the Company, as at 25 July 2019 the only persons who, directly or indirectly, were interested in 3% or more of the Company’s share capital were:

Looks like we will never break out of the 4.5-5.5p range. The slightest attempt and the sellers come roaring back in 😩

A piece from 29 July 2020 re the growing gig economy and which mentions Mastercard Send; how important is HomeSend to MC??

"According to McKinsey’s The Future of Work in Europe Discussion Paper June 2020, 20-30% of all jobs in the European countries are part-time work done by freelancers and gig economy workers. By 2021, there will be an estimated 57 million freelancers in the US workforce alone.....

The best solution to the payment problem for the gig economy?

Real-time payments (RTP) are an excellent alternative to the current bulky and slow payment processing methods in the gig economy."

Doesn’t WJA hold leverage over MC in that it can threaten to sell its stake to a third party, who might not be willing to sell to MC? My guess is that this is why MC is willing to fund the JV, because the quid pro quo is the acquisition of WJA’s stake.

I don't understand why MC is funded it all, we should be funding 35% of it or else MC will use this as a excuse to lower their bid.

The only info we have is that MC and Visa take out at 50x revenue. Also at 5.5p WJA is valued at 56.4m. WJA holds 35% of homesend. So at 20p we are valued at 204m, so 204/50 is 4.1m (which is 35%), so homesend needs to have a revenue of approx 12m to justify 20p takeover. For 50p takeover we need a homesend revenue of 30m

There's a lot of stock available now below the 6p level - wonder who would sell here?

Bought in again this morning, but had to pay 6p !!Like most on here I believe that there is no reason that Mastercard would not want to own the whole business. Especially now that they are funding Homesend totally.

"An open minded person might wonder why the share price is being held back, the same person might think the lower it is the lower the offer."

I'm mostly quite open minded. Though not yet open enough to accept any offer that might be made at the these levels!

Just a matter of time before MasterCard have it all to themselves. A open minded person might wonder why the share price is being held back, the same person might think the lower it is the lower the offer. The same person might suggest this should be 20p before it's taken out.
