16/11/2020 11:30 | Its interesting its as if the chart is trying to take us back to 2017.... Or a takeover or something. We've really done Covid here. | netcurtains
16/11/2020 11:12 | It is on it's way to 80p. | hotfinance14
16/11/2020 10:17 | oh yes - looking nice | netcurtains
16/11/2020 09:25 | Charts looking at 95p if 70p level is breached | trt
11/11/2020 18:50 | kazoom, The guys here have a poor sense of humour, I did say that the licence deal was a positive step for NEXT on a different thread but it will take time to assess how much the deal is worth. WGB has still a long haul back so far as profits are concerned as one doesn't know how long the virus will take to eliminate. | debsdowner
09/11/2020 22:13 | Just as the left wing take over the USA - what would be ideal is a left wing designer label.... William Morris was a revolutionary socialist. That my friend is the ideal brand for our times! | netcurtains
09/11/2020 20:43 | William Morris was a very influential designer of textiles and wallpapers in the mid 1800s. His style comes in and out of fashion in long waves. Decades in wavelength. His style is now coming into fashion again in a long wave. WGB own not only the brand but the design portfolio. | barnesian
09/11/2020 20:39 | Barry! How lovely to see you - it has been a while. Not totally sure what brings you here though? I doesn't seem like your type of thing at all (at either extreme). | kazoom
09/11/2020 20:34 | William Morris is a brand founded in the 1800"s. | essentialinvestor
09/11/2020 20:16 | I think debsdowner is moaning because she has misunderstood this share and the ship is sailing | salver2
09/11/2020 19:49 | My daughter is a designer with an excellent "nose" for what is coming into fashion. She reckons William Morris is going to be big. | barnesian
09/11/2020 19:33 | What an ignorant worzel you are, ever seen a Barbour jacket with a Liberty print lining, currently incorporating a Laura Ashley print, rather untimely I may say with the demise of LA. William Morris is an incredibly valuable brand, so they are making the most of it. | bookbroker
09/11/2020 19:24 | So the public going to be walking around like a roll of wallpaper! Moat the market up on the corona vaccine but the damage to the economy has already been done. How much the licence deal will add to WGB is uncertain at this time, and I suspect in the short term very little. Longer term I am not so sure as fashion changes very quickly and the fashion industry has to follow a trend at the time not what someone just comes up with. | debsdowner
09/11/2020 11:40 | Lots of small trades @68p....guess they're sell trades?? | thaiger
09/11/2020 10:49 | OT I bought a few TOPPS TILES the other day too (as could not buy any more WGB) - it seems to be having a bit of run too. Cheers Net! | netcurtains
09/11/2020 10:40 | kazoom: Just tried another one I get this message: There is currently no online quote available. Please either try requesting another online quote or call us on XXXXXXX to deal over the phone. You can also place a limit order (UK securities only) | netcurtains
09/11/2020 10:38 | kazoom: I tried two on-line brokers (I have a number with various different ISA accounts). | netcurtains
09/11/2020 10:33 | I haven't bought any for quite a while (got enough thanks) but I see there have been c. £40k worth traded so far today (most if not all buys) over 11 trades - so there is clearly a market. Perhaps a new broker would be in order? | kazoom
09/11/2020 10:15 | I went down to £250 and even then I could not buy a thing. At that level what is the point anyway? The market is stuck solid. hotfinance: I dont know if there are any shares available its just a guess on the evidence available. Perhaps news leaked last week and loads of NEXT / WGB middle managers snapped up everything. | netcurtains
09/11/2020 10:13 | I tried earlier and got a quote for a thousand pounds worth - seeing I bought 150 thousand shares last year at around this price - I think I paid 65 p and then was able to buy another 90 k shares at 36.75 pence easily some months back it shows how tight the market is | salver2
09/11/2020 10:05 | That is bizarre. Is that how you have worked out there are no shares available ? | hotfinance14
09/11/2020 09:48 | currently I cant buy a single WGB share online ..... | netcurtains
09/11/2020 09:21 | salver2: Designers of wallpaper (not kidding) can also design clothes. If you look carefully at most BBC drama (eg "Strike") you will notice that the set designers colour co-ordinate the wallpaper with the actors clothes.... So yes NEXT could buy the whole company - someone certainly has snapped up all the shares. Just a while back you could buy about £10k online without blinking an eye, now you're lucky to get about £700. Where have all the shares gone? | netcurtains
09/11/2020 08:54 | Can buy about 1k online if your lucky - a very undervalued share - I wonder whether next would buy the whole shooting match | salver2 |
