27/8/2020 18:44 | @netcurtains - in case of any interest or relevance to WGB and the points you are making Crew Clothing Co. Ltd YE 31 October 2018 £60m t/o £12m net assets (no intangibles) £2.8m profit Sold in December 2017 Ultimate holding company based in Singapore was Three Wishes Ltd the controlling party of which is Menoshi Shina (who bought Moss Bros in March this year) | cliffpeat

27/8/2020 17:26 | Management doing a good job here. | bookbroker
27/8/2020 17:22 | Crew Clothing has had real struggles relatively recently, it is on life support now, completely different business, I’m relieved you are not running WGB. | bookbroker

27/8/2020 12:08 | Great, but this is a very small company compared to the likes of the luxury brands you are likely thinking of, overheads would go through the roof proportionately! | bookbroker
27/8/2020 09:12 | Its not the "respectable" bit that is the problem. If you have a top notch brand like WILLIAM MORRIS - you need to promote it INDEPENDENTLY from stores who have all sorts of suppliers. If you have one or two of your own stores (they could be franchises of course) you can create a sense of luxury brand. Burberry is a luxury brand because some stores (could be franchises) are totally given to the BRAND - they sell nothing else. For some time its become apparent that luxury brands sell best if they have one or two of their own stores in prime locations around the world | netcurtains
27/8/2020 09:05 | Also there are numerous respectable furnishing stores with their brands on offer, come to Harrogate, York or Ilkley and see for yourself. | bookbroker
27/8/2020 09:04 | This company does not need to go out and start throwing money around, shareholders have suffered enough, three years ago this was knocking on the door of £3, where is your sense of prudence, designers know about the collections within this company, I prefer steady as they go. | bookbroker
27/8/2020 08:02 | See this? A wallpaper supplier has got their prints on chocolate bars: This is the time for dynamic marketing teams to get out and get selling.. | netcurtains
27/8/2020 07:57 | bookbroker: Good thing you don't do DIY. I quite casually put up wallpaper - anything from hand printed Timerous Beasties to bog standard white lining paper. The BULK of all wallpaper sold including MID PRICE RANGE (That is WGB) is put up by hand of the buyer. Especially young couples working from home. No offence bookbroker but you should research more - I know a great deal about DIY... Just ask if you want to know something.. They definitely need their own showrooms if they want to expand the brand - especially in places where they currently have no major suppliers to muddy the waters. Like Apple Phones - it makes a HUGE difference to have your own stores. | netcurtains
27/8/2020 07:41 | Good thing you are not running the company, did you not read the RNS, digitalisation of their samples, they need third party representatives in other regions, not a load of expensive showrooms. And their wallpaper is hardly a job for DIY, it is expensive and needs to be applied professionally. | bookbroker
27/8/2020 06:43 | Looking at this list (from Trading update): " Walker Greenbank employs more than 650 people and its products are sold in more than 85 countries worldwide. It has showrooms in London, New York, Chicago, Paris and Dubai. " There is room for quite a lot of expansion. I would like to see: Los Angeles, Hollywood, Delhi, Singapore, Berlin, Moscow, Beijing, Soul, Sydney, Toronto, Bangalore and Tokyo on that list. | netcurtains
26/8/2020 06:33 | FT posts that DIY boom is not just in UK and Europe, it is also in WGB main sale area: USA.. If you work from home you have HOURS and DAYS more free time to decorate your house. WGB products are in most of the glossy magazines every month. WGB share price has been rising However its still trading at near NAV value. This makes it, on paper, quite inexpensive for a top notch luxury brand. Cheers Net. | netcurtains
25/8/2020 21:05 | This continues to look woefully undervalued and by a big margin. A luxury goods company could do worse than to price a bid at a 50-100% premium as they would still be buying quality brands at a discount price | studentinvestor13
25/8/2020 18:15 | Homes and Antiques Magazine. September edition. William Morris Wallpaper (- from Style Library (style Library is a website used for WGB brands) "Acanthus"... | netcurtains
25/8/2020 14:57 | Got my brother-in-law an arts and crafts birthday card. Yep William Morris designs are everywhere .... | netcurtains
24/8/2020 13:43 | Price heading down a bit - taking a breather... | netcurtains
24/8/2020 07:55 | In John Lewis Kingston yesterday afternoon. Footfall quite good and WGB brands (William Morris, Scion and Sanderson) in prime locations. | netcurtains
20/8/2020 09:14 | yes its interesting. I can see how this stock could be strongly valued in Scandinavia and the USA - perhaps even more so than here. | netcurtains
20/8/2020 09:10 | Based on current NAV and with plenty of cash in the bank and sales holding up could easily see £1 level reached. | trt |
